Asta-Matrikas and ashta-bhairavas

The relationship is as follows:

 

1) Braahmi - Asithaanga Bhairavaa

2) Maaheshwari - Ruru Bhairavaa.

3) Kowmaari - Chanda Bhairavaa.

4) Vaishnavii - Krodha Bhairavaa.

5) Vaaraahii - Unmatta Bhairavaa.

6) Naarasimhii - Kapaala Bhairavaa.

7) Chaamundii - Bheeshana Bhairavaa.

8) Chandikaa - Samhaara Bhairavaa.

 

You will find that there is a slight change in the list of Maatrukaas.

The earlier list I had give was of the 8 forms of Devi who are given

special oblations and worships while writing yantras of Shakti

devataas. The above list in which each maatruka is associated with

one form of Bhairavaa is used in Bhairava worship including "Swarna

Aakarshana Bhairava worship". The intricacies of these worships

cannot be discussed in a public forum. Kindly get those details from

your deeksha Guru directly. The above list has been give just for

information purposes. If you are already into Bhairava worship, this

is one of the mandatory worships, i.e. you should offer "tarpanams" to

the Deities along with the respective form of Bhairava Deva like "Om

Braahmi Shakti Sahita Asithaanga Bhairava Shri Paadukaam poojayaami

tarpayaami namaha", etc.
