Om Krishna Guru

Namaste Gurus and Learned Members,

I am struglling to understand and get some guidelines on answering the

following two questions:-

1) When a native comes and say: I was told I am getting a Promotion in my

current job. How much raise in my Salary, can I expect ?

2) When a native comes and say: I was told I am getting some performance based

bonus/reward. How much money can I expect ?

May I reqeust you to please teach me or provide me or point me to some

references where I can find some numerical calculations to derive the answers

such as follows to the above questions:-

Answer to Q.1) You will get 6 % pay raise

Answer to Q.2) You will get US$ 2500 as a bonus / reward for your hard work.

As you know I go very focused to find answers, so please guide me to get the

answers to the above using "Prashna based Methods" ONLY.

You may write in the list or if you choose to write to me privately, that is

fine too. Thanks for your help in advance.

Om Krishna Guru

Namaste Gurus and Learned Members,

Looks like, my question / doubt did not got your attention.

Can't we answer to these kind of question using the known methods ?

If that is case, I will reply to the person, who asked me these

questions as "there are no known methods in Vedic Astrology to get a

precise Numerical answers to your questions".

Alternatively, if you have any pointers or clues, please write in the

list or to me privately. If not then I may have to continue my own

discovery to find answers, which may take longer time.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Dear Namani ji,

That is one of the most fundamental doubts, like the birth time

rectification issue. Such questions reflects the true learning and

research spirit. You know how many persons dare to answer the qn on

Birth time rectification. Sadly the same is the situation

with "Astrological methods to calculate numbers" as well. There is no

generalized slandered principle for this as far as I know. But I can

give you many clues. There are many systems available for calculating

numbers in astrology.

Let us make it a point of discussion, so that new knowledge could

come out. I would like to know the view points of Dakshinamoorthi ji

on the same.

Thanks for bringing this vital qn into attention of all.

Love,

Sreenadh

Dear Student Rao:

What Shri. Shrinadh has said is right......It is difficult to exactly

pinpoint a certain percentage of increase in wages by classical prasna

principles. But, by extended application of Prasna principles, one

may arrive at a reasonably accurate answer provided one knows the

background of the query. For example, if a person asks "will the

expected payrise come through?" You can definitely give an

affirmative or negative answer by prasna principles. If the answer

comes in affirmative, then we have to analyse the planets involved.

If the planet concerned be Saturn, you may expect some disappointment

in your expectations....i.e., there will be a payrise, but it may not

match your expectations. If it is Jupiter, you may expect a

substantial raise....If you know the background, like what is the

usual range of raise given in such circumstances in your office, you

can answer the query. Jupiter will give the maximum possible raise in

such circumstances, Mercury may give a temporary benefit like a

performance-linked bonus, Venus may give windfalls, Rahu may give

unexpected raises on a large scale, Sun may give a payrise with

promotion and enhanced status, SAturn may give a payrise with

increased work-loads, and so on.

In case of promotions, if Jupiter gives the promotion, it will take

place due to expansion of the work-force and creation of new posts; if

saturn gives the promotion, it may be due to sudden demise or demotion

of a superior officer which capacity this native may have to fill,

etc... Of course, you have to take into consideration the

significations of the planets in the prasna horoscope also into

consideration and their strengths before arriving at a final answer.

In some ancient works, precise amounts of money are given as signified

by different planets (they say something like such a planet will so

may golds as gain). But, these may not be relevant for modern day

applications.

Precise prediction of exact amount of raise to be expected, in my

opinion, is beyond the scope of ordinary astrology, and it may require

the deployment of psychic abilities/ analysis of the backgrounds to

pinpoint the exact amount. In that case, it will be no more

astrology, but speculation or divination. Predicting numerical values

using astrology is always a tricky aspect.

Blessed be.

Namaste Raghunatha Ji,

Just a loud thought after going through the reply of Shri

Dakshinamoorthi ji. Knowing very well that 15% is the maximum and 1%

is the minimum, why can't we just assign numerical values in

increasing order from 1% to 15% based on the perceived quantum of

jump promised by the planet ? For example, MAR (1-2%), SAT/KET (2-

3%), RAH (3-5%), SUN (5-7%), MON (7-9%), MER (9-11%), VEN (11-13%) &

JUP (13-15%).

For this of course, you need to identify the strong significator

planet.

Dear Raghunatha Rao,

Answering such questions needs a good understanding of many factors. They

include industry know how, company etc.

Sticking to Prashna, we need to first measure if the success is good, medium

or bad. This can be understood by looking at the placement of the 1st and

10th lords.

After knowing this, see if the 2nd/11th lord has formed ithashala with the

10th lord. Note the difference in degrees. The ratio of the faster moving

planet to that of the difference is a good indicator.

Alternatively, note the house in which the strongest planet indicating

promotion is placed. Take the lord of the 2nd from this house. Note the

Navamsa positions of these two planets. The difference in signs could be a

multiplicative factor.

I can give you a pointer for further research. In Brihat Jataka,

Varahamihira gives the time period for different planets. The sloka starts

with "Ayanaruthykshanavara....". It would be nice if we are able to use this

as a benchmark and do research.

2) When a native comes and say: I was told I am getting some performance

based bonus/reward. How much money can I expect ?

May I reqeust you to please teach me or provide me or point me to some

references where I can find some numerical calculations to derive the

answers such as follows to the above questions:-

Answer to Q.1) You will get 6 % pay raise

Answer to Q.2) You will get US$ 2500 as a bonus / reward for your hard work.

As you know I go very focused to find answers, so please guide me to get
