Guest guest
Hari Om, According to Jhora Rahu is my Amatyakaraka. This has me perplexed because I thought the Amatyakaraka is the graha with the next highest longitude after the Atmakaraka [shani], so why is the Amatyakaraka not Shukra. After Rahu all of the Chara Karakas seem to follow according to the degrees of Longitude. Am I missing something here? Guest guest
Dear olusanya Atmakaraka is the planet which has travelled the maximum distance in a rashi .. For example Saturn in your case has travelled 29 degrees and fiftyfour minutes in Dhanu rashi . Similarly Rahu has travelled 29 degrees and 19 minutes in Simha Rashi . Thus it is next in order to Shani . Rahu always travels in the opposite direction so its longitude is given as one degree 41 minutes . I hope this makes the matter clear . Regards , Anand A. K.
