Guest guest
Dear Shri. Parameshwaran: Ishta Devata means the Divine Form that appeals to a person and that form to which the native unconsciously turns to in times of crises without prompts of others. This is a personal preference that comes from previous life influences in some cases and hence the natives will be aware of it themselves. It is the upaasana Devataa that is to be found using astrological techniques. In your case, as you have rightly said, the 5th lord in D20 is Venus. Kindly find out the planets in conjunction with Venus in the D20 lord, or its dispositor (the lord of the sign in which Venus is posited in the D20 chart). This should give an indication about your Upaasanaa Devataa. Blessed be. Pandit.
