ANUKULA-VAD v/s PRATIKULA-VAD (Richard, Swee)

Dear Richard, also would love to hear Swee's opinion and anyone else

who cares to respond,

Ok, so you've established that Anukul vad is the right way. But

another area I see disagreement in is: Should gems be worn in the

left hand or right hand. Some say left for women, right for men.

Others say left hand reduces the effect and right hand increases the

effect of the gem. Which is correct any why? And this logic again

brings pratikul vad back into consideration since if left hand

reduces the effect, then wouldnt wearing a gem for a malefic in the

left hand reduce the effect of the malefic?

Would love to see discussion between the gurus on this, rooted in

reference to the classics, or alternatively long experience

Thanks,

Sundeep

Dear Sundeepji,

Namaskar!!! Many clients prefer to wear their gem as a pendant on a chain around

their

neck hanging over their hearts. In that case no hand applies.

Sri Sundeep ji,

Namaskar!!! I have heard over the years that just owning a fine gem and keeping

in ones

house is already very auspicious. Because it involves a Grahadeva, it is a

metaphysical

science. Example: Since 1975 we are creating flawless jeweled talisman pieces;

since 1987

we began to give each talisman a number (serial number) starting with a super

Navaratna

as number one. Up to this point we are now working in the 12,000s. The point i

wish to

make is that more than half these client pieces are pendants, not rings. And we

have seen

that our clients who wear pendants, they get the same results as those wearing a

ring. So

it is metaphysical, and it is not required to wear a gem on any hand.

In my own books I have listed which hand gems are to be worn, such as right hand

Sunfinger for Surya, but I personally don't pay much attention to that and

neither do our

clients. Because it makes no difference in our pratical experience.

In general is is said that left hand is receiving energy, and right hand is

projecting energy,

so if a student wears a gem while learning it should be on his left hand, and

the teacher

should wear on the right hand... one is receiving, one is projecting. Also with

Doctor and

patient, husband and wife.

I know there are certain texts speaking about hands and fingers, but I'm not

sure how

Vedic they are. They are more recent. And in pratical experience we see a

pendant works

as well as a ring. So I think people should rearrange their thinking about this

matter, and

see that Planetary Gemology is metaphysical, on level of the Devas, and is

transcendental

to all these considerations.

Like wise, "Ratna Arpana" or donating gems for Pratikul planets, such as

donating a

Gomeda to a leper on a Saturday evening to worship (please) Rahu, is also proof

that

Planetary Gemology is transcendental...because in case of donating, the giver is

losing the

gem and not wearing... still he aquires the astrological benefits of pleasing

Rahu.

My conclusion is that wearing on what hand and finger is only academic.

Best regards,

Richard
