Dear learned members,

I have a query on calculation of amatyakaraka. Isnt amatyakaraka

defined as the 2nd highest degree planet in a horoscope? This doubt

arose when I entered the foll. birth data in the jagannatha software.

DOB: 22-08-1981

TOB: 12:49pm

POB: Mumbai, India

According to longitudes, Mercury is the 2nd highest degree planet, but

the software shows Rahu as the amatyakaraka.

Pls. clarify this.

Regards,

Astrobuff

Dear Astrobuff,

Please deduct Rahu's longitude from 30 degrees and then check. Rahu's

progression is checked in reverse direction since it moves retro.

Best Wishes,

Ramesh
