Guest guest
Dear Shri. KG: Each nakshatra has 4 aksharas as initial letter of the name and some letters as follow-on letters. People usually give more prominence to the initial phoneme. For Uttarabhadra nakshatra, the phonemes are : thu (as in thumburu, tulasi, etc.),gnya (as in Gnyaana), cha (as in Chandi, chamundi, etc.) and Shri (as in Shrividya). For the 4th pada, Shri is the right phoneme for the beginning of the name. The follow on syllables which can be somewhere in the name are Gnya and "ya". Thus you can keep names like Shripriya, Shrividya, Shreya, Shrinithya, or whatever you feel. These are only guidelines and kindly note that this is not mandatory even by tradition. Somehow this view has gained currency now-a-days. The purpose of these phonemes in the olden days was to predict effects to persons without horoscopes. Based on the phonemes of the name, the person's naama nakshatra (nakshatra effects due to the phonemes in the name) was found and then the transit effects or other minor predictions given to the person without a horoscope. Whether you want to keep it with the phonemes in mind or not is up to you. Tradition does not force you to do either. This can be confirmed from the fact that NONE of the avatars including Shri Raama or Shri Krishna were named according to this scheme. Blessed be. vedic astrology, KG <kngcl> wrote: > > Dear List, > > I am looking for phoneme asscoiated with Uttrabhadra nakshtra, Pada 4- rashi Pisces.
