Kaul: Mangalik dosha is not the only spoilsport for marital life....Infact, as many of us have already posted in our earlier messages, there are various exceptions to mangalik dosha. When it comes to analyzing the marital felicity and character of a female native, there are various factors that have to be taken into consideration: 1) We have to see the strength of "mangalya sthaanathipathi" (8th house lord) and also the disposition and aspects to the 7th house lord. In this case, 7th and 8th house lord is Sani. 2) The thrimsamsa of the lagna or the Moon - whichever is stronger. 3) In Keralayee tradition, many learned astrologers including Shri Krishnan Potti (now of revered memory) analyze the "Dimba Chakra". This has also been advocated by Shri Yavanaacharyaa in his "Stree Jatakam" and also in another astrological works like JATAKAABHARANAM. This gives a summary indication of marital felicity and character of the lady. All these factors have to be taken into account, the contradictions reconciled, and only then can a final analysis be made. We can never come to a conclusion on any important aspect of life just by taking a single dosha or for that matter.... even a yoga. This is the reason why we see apparent contradictions in astrology like persons with "Gaja Kesari Yoga" suffering from penury or persons with "Nirdhana Yoga" rolling in cash throughout their lives. All factors have to be considered carefully. No single planetary combination will ever make or break the horoscope.
