Guest guest
Dear Gurujis, Since for Scorpio Lagna Mars, the lagna lord is debilitated in th 9th house, does that mean the resources of punya sthana is not activated properly? Also what sort of a character such a native [male/female] will have when the lagna lord is debilitated especially in the 9th house. Guest guest
Dear Renuji: Instead of answering it directly, let me answer it in riddles to stimulate your logic. For scorpio ascendant, the lagna lord is debilitated in 9th, but the 5th lord Jupiter (Poorvapunya sthana lord) is exalted in 5th. Then why do you consider the Poorvapunya is not activated properly? Actually, Scorpio natives have their poorva punya activated very strongly. But lagna lord debilitated in 9th may indicate that they may not be lucky in matter of previleged relationship with a preceptor/ mentor/ father. Either the personages indicated may not be there at all, or the native will live seperately from them due to practical reasons, or the relationship may not be smooth and free flowing( in psychology we use the term " the parents/ mentors of the native were emotional absentees", i.e., they fail to provide the emotional inputs that one may expect from a mentor). Kindly take the example of the late Paramacharya His Holiness Shri Chandrashekara Saraswathi - a colussus in spiritual field in our era. .... He was born in Anusha nakshatra (Moon in Scorpio).... He ascended the Peetam due to the premature demise of two earlier peetadhipathis, and as such did not have a Guru to guide Him in the initial years of his peetadipathyam. He was largely a self-made man by devoting 3 complete years for extensive study of various shastras and traditions in a remote village by discussing these with various Pandits well- versed in different shastras. But, the effect of 5th lord which is exalted in 9th is that the native's purva punya is so strong that the person's intuition itself will be the best guide due to God's Grace. We all know that the Paramacharya was considered to be a Living God with no one daring to raise an accusing finger against him even in the heydays of rationalism in Tamil Nadu! There are many self-made persons in this world who have not had the previlege of being brought up by affectionate parents.... But, can anyone deny the fact that they will definitely have missed the wonderful joys that an affectionate parent could have provided? In the same way, a person may progress spiritually due to God's Grace that will act through one's intuition.....But, can it ever be compared to the Loving Protection and Guidance that one's satguru can provide? This is what may be lacking in a Scorpio ascendant/ Moon sign native most of the times. Another interesting point that you must note is that 9th lord Moon is debilitated in the Lagna itself! which further confirms our hypothesis. Guest guest
Dear Dakshinamoorthyji, Yes, indeed it is an interesting fact that I failed to notice regarding Scorpio natives, namely 9th lord being debilitated in the lagna. This special parivarthana is seen only in Scorpio and Cancer lagnas. For Cancer lagna lord is debilitated in the 5th and 5th lord is debilitated in the lagna. Now here the poorva punya shthana is involved. What's more interseting is that in both cases triangles are involved. Sir, since I am not versed in Sanscrit or Hindi, I assume 'Pitadhipathis' means 'Gurus' or the Chief of one's eductional institution whatever it is. Right? Thank you so much for your guidance.
