Guest guest
yes"> currently I am not conducting the course on Pancha Pakshi Shastram as there were not enough persons willing to take the email-based course. You see I need enough people to sponsor the course inorder to cover my expenses arising out of internet usage and also to compensate me atleast to some extent for the time invested. I know that this is not the way to look at this, but, I am a #ffff00">professional astrologer and this is my full-time profession. When I run a course, I have to compromise my practice by limiting my appointments and utilize that time to chart out course material that could be of use to my students. I thought that if I get at least 10 students willing to enrol and more importantly if they are found suitable by me, a charge of US$100 per person will be feasible for yes"> them (US$1000 may be too high for most persons, but US$100 *10 will make it a win-win situation and I will get the satisfaction of throwing light on this wonderful branch of astrology!), and enough for me to cover my time and efforts invested in this regard. But, as this has not been the case, I decided against the email-based course for the time-being. The excerpt is taken from the exchange below my message. Sri Dakshnamoorthi is entitled to his fee, for the vidya he is condescending to teach for $100 (down from $1,000) must be precious (short of 'valuable'). I wish I had a better way to express my dissent. My submission is the wielder of the particular speciality jyotih shastra -- many of us still hold it to be a divine vidya* -- has pecuniary consideration uppermost in agreeing to part (?) (as different from 'share' ) with his vidya. Teaching-learning is not quid pro quo. The teacher does not part. Shradhhaa and paatrataa should guide those of us who want to enlighten one another. But then Sri Dakshnamoorthi is entitled to his fee: he is a professional and has to earn his keep.Fair enough. Let me point out two things -- 1. the amount of $100 is still beyond the means of many who are eminently qualified to receive such specialised knowledge in jyotih shastra; 2. I urge on the teacher here to be equal to his spiritual quotient and not insist on amount. Who knows by not insisting, he may come upon greater wealth by way of reward, monetrary not ruled out. It could at least be a 'sukrut' a beau geste on his part that the speciality will be ably wielded by one or two after him. For that he may have to teach scores; for such will be the limiting nature of online tutorial -- the farthest cry from the upanishad mode (the face-to-face, interactive one). May larger considerations guide us at this forum. Guest guest
DEar Shri. Shri. Sridhar: I do not intend to keep a fixed syllabus for this course in true siddha tradition. Of course, the basics will covered exhaustively. Broadly speaking, I intend to cover the following topics: Basics of Pancha Pakshi Shastram, how to identify your pakshi, the activities of the pancha pakshis on different days in waxing and waning phases of the moon, application of Pancha Pakshi shastram to nativities, practical application of Pancha pakshi shastram in daily life, remedies for adverse yogas prevailing at the time of first menses of females using pancha pakshi shastram, application of Pancha Pakshi Shastram for timing important functions like laying foundation stone for houses, medicinal applications, etc., application of Pancha Pakshi Shastram for Prasna (Horary purposes), how to energize your Pancha Pakshi element on days when its strength is minimum or on days which are adverse to your pakshi. The course will be based on the works of SAge Agasthiar, Bhogar, and Kagabhujandar. The book on Kagabhujandar Pancha Pakshi Shastram which has been published by "Sri Devi Book House" is erraneous at various places. The verses in Tamil are correct, but the tables given are wrong at places may be due to faulty interpretation of the author, or due to printer's devil! I have corrected the errors as I am conversant with chaste tamil used in the original verses and I intend to draw the useful principles from that book also. This course will be a digest of useful material scattered in various works on Pancha Pakshi Shastram. Blessed be.

Guest guest
Dear group members: This post of this idiot has spoiled my chances of showing my face to guruji at all! It was I who along with shri. Raghunatha rao who persuaded Shri. Dakshinamoortiji to post the note in this forum.. and see the hate mail! Many of the senior members of this forum will remember Shri. Dakshinamurthiji for his mature posts in this forum. He has always tried his best to uphold the honour of astrology and astrological traditions. Just 2 days into this list and letting steam off his head! What does he expect guruji to do? To beg or what? I think guruji has expressed his situation fairly clearly? Do they give free electricity and free internet to gurujis? Guruji has clearly stated that he is charging to cover the cost of internet usage. Who will pay for the bandwidth? Rk Dash is saying that guruji can earn more wealth by not asking for fixed charges..... Do you know one thing.... Guruji never aspires for anything more than what he deserves! He fixes his rates at his own discretion. He never bargains... if at all he feels a person deserves help, he is most willing to offer free service. One thing I can tell you from my personal experiences..... Guruji is the last person in Universe whom you can buy for money......How much doyou pay for an university degree? or for that matter... how much do you spend on your worthless snacks and beverages per year? The charge that guruji has fixed for his course is a pittance compared to the unnecessary costs we incur in our day to day lives!.... If you can't spend even that much for a Divine Science...... it shows your petty mindedness. Let not Devils write SCriptures. By the way I feel the id of this idiot rk dash be better changed to utter trash! vedic astrology, rk dash <arkaydash> wrote: > > > Dear group members, > I am just a day old at the group and getting to see what seems a mercernary jamboree in places. Who knows by not insisting, he > may come upon greater wealth by way of reward, monetrary not ruled out. > > Sincerely > RK Dash > > Raghunatha RaoNemani <raon1008> wrote: > Om Krishna Guru > > Namaste Dakshinamoorthi Ji, > > Thanks for the note in the list and hope enough students will respond to you soon. Guest guest
dear brother mohanraam while understanding the pain for insulting your guru by this new boarder who is spewing vitriol in public, we shall display our maturity by not matching his words. you and your guruji have written everything in the group and truth always triumphs. history has shown that even gods and goddesses were not spared by critics. jagatguru adi sankaracharya sri jayendra sarasatiji was also not spared. jesus prayed to god for forgiving those people who were hitting nails on him. in my experience, i learnt that if you love your critics and show compassion, they would turn into your disciples. with best wishes arjun vedic astrology, "mohanraaam" <mohanraaam> wrote: > > Dear group members: > > This post of this idiot has spoiled my chances of showing my face to > guruji at all! Guest guest
Dear Group Members, i know it may be difficult, but we should explore the possibilities of filtering messages on this Group, especially to avoid incidents such as the one created by RK Dash. It goes without saying that the whole episode has been unfair to the learned Shri. Dakshinamoortiji and we are unknowingly / unwittingly paining him. Instead of learning from such gifted souls, instead of trying to raise ourseleves to that level, we Indians generally have a tendency to attempt and bring down such souls to our levels. Shri. Dakshinamoortiji, although a highly spiritiual and evolved soul, is not staying in isolation in a hermit. He is living in the materialistic Chennai, he is a professional astrologer and he operates through an Office. Besides, he is also into other spiritual practices including Danam & Dharmam. Just because he is spiritually evolved, does not mean that the monetary system does not operate for him. Do i have to say that our so called society will not even cremate a dead body if the charges are not paid in advance. it is my humble request to RK Dash that he should kindly go through the messages in this Group, and convince himself about the contribution of Shri. Dakshinamoortiji towards spreading the knowledge of Vedic Astrology & the benefits that have accrued to this Group and its members. i am sure RK Dash would then tender an apology to Shri. Dakshinamoortiji and close this chapter. Mistakes do happen. But great are those who accept their mistakes. When we point one finger at others, three fingers are pointing back at us. Guest guest
Dear Bala Do not be too upset about what RK Dash wrote and in his emotional outburst Mohanraam used a few adjectives about Rk Dash. I do not know much about Shri Dakshnamurtiji except through his mails on this list and I think he is too learned a man to be upset by these trivialities. Let us drop this topic and get on with jyotish. Guest guest
Dear Shri. Shripatiji: "Shiv Svaroday" shastra is based on breath analysis-classifying the length of air stream into five elements and also analysing from which nostril respiration is done, and using these to predict things. Actually Swavodaya shastra is the ultimate - it has the potential to overcome the influences of Pancha Pakshi also if properly applied. More importantly, swarodaya does not need calculations about length of day and other things which are needed in Pancha Pakshi shastram. The sayings of ancient siddhas goes like this: Pancha Pakshi Shastram principles have the potential to overrule traditional planetary influences.... Swara shastra application can overrule even Pancha Pakshi influences...... Blessed be.
