Guest guest
Dear Shri.Raghunath, Panchapakshi is a wonderful branch of divination. If you know Tamil, you can get benefitted by reading a wonderful treatise on Pancha Pakshi Shastram published by Saraswathi Mahal Library, Tanjore. There are various other classical works also on Panchapakshi shastram - like Boghar Panchapakshi shastram, Kagabhujandar Pancha pakshi shastram, Agasthiyar Panchapakshi shastram, etc. all of which are in Tamil, and some of them are no longer in print. I have the copies of all of them. Otherwise, I think there is a book on Panchapakshi principles authored by Dr.U.S.Pulipanni which has been published in English itself. As I have the original classics with me and am fairly comfortable with them, I did not feel the need to buy a book from a modern author. I am not sure of the publisher details, but I am sure that Dr.Pulipani has authored a book on Panchapakshi shastram. I hope I have given you some useful pointers. Blessed be. Guest guest
five equal parts (or "hours", generally about 2 regular hours in length), with the night also divided into five equal parts, based on times of sunrise & sunset. Each hour has each of the birds in a different level of activity. The schedules for Sunday & Tuesday are the same, as are the schedules for Mondays & Wednesdays. Schedules for Thursday, Friday & Saturdays are unique. Put together, on the first hour of Sundays & Tuesdays, the Vulture eats, the Owl walks, the Crow runs (the text says, "rules", but to me, that's vague), the Cock sleeps & the Peacock dies. In any given exchange between different birds, the most active bird wins. So in the first "hour" of Sunday, the Crow always wins, the Peacock always loses. Additionally, the Cock beats the Peacock, the Vulture beats both Cock & Peacock, the Owl beats Vulture, Cock & Peacock. Other hours have other arrangements of winners & losers. The various birds have differing overall strengths, there are friends & enemies, some interesting sexual & medical relationships & lots more. The hour calculations in the book presume readers live in India. For more northerly climes, the calculations required are similar to those for traditional planetary hours. Guest guest
Dear Shri. Venkatesh, 1. I am sorry... I do not have the book you have enquired. 2. The best tamil book on remedial measure is "Agasthiar Karma Kandam". You can get the book from "Tamarai Publishers", Chennai. "Sundaraanandar Jothida Kaaviyam" is another astrological classic purported to be written by one of the disciples of SAge Agasthiyar by name "Sundaraanandar". This book closely follows Agasthia Karma Kaandam in suggesting remedies. Ofcourse, Pancha Pakshi Shastram books themselves contain certain powerful remedies/ practical applications. I hope I have provided useful pointers. Guest guest
Dear Shri. Raghunatha Rao, I am sure that it is your father's blessing that has introduced you to one of the most powerful techniques in astrology. Your brother's father-in-law is right in feeling absolutely confident about relying only on Panchapakshi shastram for prasna purposes. Infact, in one of the classical works, it has been mentioned that Panchapakshi techniques can be used to transcend planetary influences. Remedies based on Panchapakshi shastra are very powerful. It has its basis on mantra shastra. Powerful yantras for accomplish the 6 primary mantrik tasks like vasiyam, akarshanam, mohanam, sthambanam, maaranam, and vidveshanam can be done by using the techniques eloborated in the original classics. That is one of the reasons why Panchapakshi shastram experts are reluctant to teach the secrets of the science to everyone. The potential of misuse in the hands of unscrupulous people is very high with this most powerful shastra. However, avoiding the mantrik elements, I will try to pen brief write-up on the prasna application of PanchaPakshi shastram at an appropriate time. Just for your information, the same shastra that claims that Panchapakshi shastram can help you to transcend planetary influences, also suggests that "Swara Shastra" - the science of breath is the ultimate in this regard. Swara Shastra is believed to have been taught by Lord Shiva Himself to his Divine Consort Goddess Parvati. You can have clues on the swara shastra in works of Prasna like Prasna Marga also. Swara shastra is more readily applicable in daily lives. God Willing, I will try to pen a few write ups on that also... or if many people express interest, I am even willing to run a specialized course on Panchapakshi Shastram and Swara Shastram along with my usual email course in traditional astrology. Let the search of the enthusiastic members of this forum be fruitful. Guest guest
Dear Shri. Venkatesh, 1. Scouting for books is an exciting experience in itself! Lotus publishing house(thaamarai pathipagam) is the publisher of the book "Sundarananthar jothida kaaviyam." 2. I am following Drik Ganitha Ayanamsa. You will know that Drik Ganitha is more accurate because astronomical phenomena such as eclipses are accurately calculated only with drik ganitha. Ironically, even vakya panchagam experts use drik ganitha principles while calculating eclipses. The use of drik ganitha is consistent with actual experience of many astrologers (of course, there are some exert traditional astrologers who use vakya panchanga especially in Tanjore district) and also the views of many astronomical experts. Prasna Marga - the encyclopedic work on almost all aspects of astrology outlines methods of correcting planetary positions obtained by Vakya method (They call it parachita method in kerala tradition),which clearly indicates that the illustrious author had favoured drig ganitha. But, I do not intend to enter into a public debate in this forum on this vexed issue. Suffice it to say, that I follow Drik Ganitham, and Lahiri ayanamsa for my calculations as this has been satisfactory in my experience. Blessed be. --- Venkatesh S <ksvssvk wrote: > JAI SRIRAM > > Dear Shri Shri.Dakshinamoorthi, > > 1.Whers is the book "Sundaraanandar Jothida > Kaaviyam" available and name of the publisher? > > 2.Which ayanamsa are followed by yourself?
