Dear Radha Kripa das,

Haribol!

1. If the person thinks he has some special mission usually AK is connected to Lagna / LL in Rasi.

2. The person will naturally go towards matters represented by AK. This should

be checked in Grahamsa (D-9) and Rasi (D-1).

3. Position of Lagnesh tell us about how You manifest Your ideals.

4. Nakshatra of Moon is about main theme in life.

5. What one will do is specifically seen in Drekkana.

You must always check Yogas like Kala-sarpa etc.

Hope it helps,

[vedic astrology] How to know the life´s mission throught jyotish

Respected Sirs

Namaste

I hope yo are well.

Could you, please, tell me what factors are take in account to know what is the mission of someone?

Not the career, but what is the dharma o something like this.

I have read lagnesh in a bhava say interest in the matter of that house in his life.

Moon in nakshatras say something.

Aspects to the Lagnesh too.

But, is there some system to know something about the mission of someone via jyotish

Thanks a lot

Dear Radha Kripa das and Rafal,

Let me put some more on the table! Sanjayji in his lectures has following to say.

1. Desires for re-birth are indicated by 7th from AK. Would the desires of the

soul become the mission for this birth? I don't know.

2. In another lecture he also says that 4 padas of nakshtra indicate Dharma,

Artha, Kama and Moksha. So the pada placement of Janma Lagna shows the focus of

mana, that of Sun shows the focus of soul and pada of lagna shows focus of self.

Best Wishes,

Ramesh

Dear Ramesh,

Namaskar,

You can also see Dig-bala from AK in D-9. This is why Moon, Venus and Ketu in

forth from Karakamsa gives direction towards Mukti.

Dear Rafal,

You missed out a few important (and more important) parameters. When

you consider the mission of a person, first you need to check the

condition of the 10th house and 10th Lord. If Karma bhava and its

Lord are not well aspected/positioned, there is no mission at all;

the person will be lingering on clearing the mess (I mean bad karma)

created in his past lives.

Please look at the following two most important parameters (very much

stressed by the eminent astrologer Sri KN Rao).

(a) Condition of 10th house and 10th Lord

(b) Condition of 2nd house and 2nd Lord. Second house/Lord are

important to check the person's truthfulness. 2nd Lord influences the

Vak Siddhi of a person as wellas as truthfulness and honesty. If the

person does not have these qualities, again there is no mission; the

person is stuck with his own problems.

The parameters you mentioned will come only after first considering

these two important parameters.

Ref: Sri KN Rao's article on "Persons born with a mission" in one of

the issues "Journal of Astrology". I don't remember the exact title

of the article, but it conatins these words. It gives excellent

examples including horoscopes of people like Mahatma Gandhi, Swamy

Vivekananda. What they have achieved in their lives is really the

mission one can think of.

Summary: Not every one is born with a mission; majority of us are

born only with an opportunity to clear our past karmas (and create

new karmas for future).

Regards,

Satya

Dear Satya,

I was taught to use tenth lord to see envirnoment of Your work, when 10L is

in 12H with Rahu You deal with spies etc. Tenth house in D-9 is about

association. Grahas in tenth house indicate what You protect through work.

When I was answering on mission I had in mind not only spiritual mission but

generally feeling one is perscribed to do something extraordinary. This

comes from AK.

To see drive which pulls the whole mechanism You must see the core - the

soul - therefore Karaka Lagna & Karakamsa comes into picture.

Dear Rafal,

I did not say Spiritual Mission. In fact, in Sri KN Rao's examples,

Mahatma Gandhi's was also mentioned, who was not spiritual leader; he

lead the nation to independence. That was surely a mission worth

considering. At the same time I don't put today's politicians under

this category, who just crave for power and have no honesty at all

(may be a bad 2nd house and 2nd Lord).

Mission is a very high level word and should not be used in a

common/general sense.

It is misinterpreted by many, that the 10th house deals with one's

work only. 10th house being Karma bhava, everything we do (all the

types of karma) falls under this category, not necessarily one's

profession or career alone. If the 10th Lord is stuck in an

inauspicious surroundings, the person will end up doing tasks that

are not anticpated from one who is destined to a mission.

Obviously mission should be used only in special/extraordinary

circumstances and there are very few (very few in the sense that I

cannot write a percentage here) people born with a mission. They can

only be counted on fingers within the span of a century or even

longer period.

I mentioned only a couple of parameters mentioned by Sri KN rao;

there are some more parameters to be considered.

Regards,

Satya

Tenth house can be calculated from Lagna, Moon, Sun, Arudha Lagna, Rasi,

Navamsa Lagna, Karakamsa, Dasamsa.

Everyone of this telling us something different.

Tenth house in rasi has a lot to do with seasons as Mercury is Karaka, in

Navamsa numerology goes into play. In Dasamsa its all about formal work.

Its surely not only about work, for example seventh lord in tenth makes one

sensous as tenth is Swarga. Tenth is also eyes and all other indication. But

You must know where to see it. Parasara says about twelfth bhava in case of

liberation. But Twelft lord from lagna is liberation from intellect =

sleeping (dream is ninth bhava (10 from 12) and Moon is Karaka). So the

liberation should be read somewhere else..the same is with Tenth bhava.

It is the strongest Kendra and has power to eclipse..

I mentioned only a couple of parameters mentioned by Sri KN rao;

there are some more parameters to be considered.

Satya

BORDER-LEFT: #1010ff 2px solid"> Dear Radha Kripa das, Haribol! 1. If the

person thinks he has some special mission usually AK is connected to Lagna / LL

in Rasi. 2. The person will naturally go towards matters represented by AK.

This should be checked in Grahamsa (D-9) and Rasi (D-1). 3. Position of

Lagnesh tell us about how You manifest Your ideals. 4. Nakshatra of Moon is

about main theme in life. 5. What one will do is specifically seen in

Drekkana. You must always check Yogas like Kala-sarpa etc. Hope it helps,

[vedic astrology] How to know the life´s mission throught jyotish

Respected Sirs Namaste I hope yo are well. Could you, please, tell me what

factors are take in account to know what is the mission of someone? Not the

career, but what is the dharma o

something like this. I have read lagnesh in a bhava say interest in the matter

of that house in his life. Moon in nakshatras say something. Aspects to the

Lagnesh too. But, is there some system to know something about the mission of

someone via jyotish Thanks a lot Namaste Radha Kripa das Correo
