Dear Ramesh,

The article which confused me is from www.sjc-

serbia.com/english/articles/lagnesha.html written by the person you

mentioned (Visti Larzen).

I had a notion as per many malayalam astrological books that Lagesha

will strengthen the bhava in which it is placed (not taking into

account the afflictions and other malefic influences).

But according to this article, "All life must come from somewhere,

and similarly the lagneça's placement in any bhäva will deprive that

bhäva of the life-force and give it to the lagna.Just as the bhäva

the planet is placed in, is deprived of its life-force, another bhäva

becomes more auspicious. Count from lagna lord back to the lagna -

the resultant amount of signs will indicate the bhäva who prospers.

Example: If lagneça is in the 5th house, the lagna is in the 9th from

the lagneça. This increases the prosperity of the 9th house, hence

Päräçara states that not only will there be misfortune to children if

lagneça is in 5th house, but blessings from elders will also be

there ".

Contradictory to this, I have read the following from a site

(http://www.urday.com/foreasc.htm).

"`LORD OF ASCENDANT' ITS POSITION AND EFFECTS :

1) If the Lord of ascendant occupies the first house itself, which is

also considered as its own house, it is considered as most auspicious

situation and as a result, the native enjoys good health and long

horoscope of a person, he is wealthy, enjoys a long life, and is

of a person, he is free from diseases, is the master of numerous and

various kind of properties, is powerful, wealthy, a person of good

conduct but a tight-fisted man.

7) If the Lord of ascendant occupies the seventh house in the

horoscope of a person, he is full of radiance, but sorrowful is a

husband of a nice, humble and obedient wife and is endowed with

beauty.

8) If the Lord of ascendant occupies the eighth house of the

horoscope of a person, he is a tight-fisted, eveready in accumulation

of wealth and enjoys a long life. If the Lord of ascendant is an

inauspicious planet, he has defect in one of his eyes. But if the

Lord of ascendant is an auspicious planet, the person has a pleasant,

nice and gentle nature.

of a person, he has numerous friends, is friendly towards the

This is what confuses me. I have seen many charts which proves the

above effects -that Lagna lord strengthens the bhave in which it is

placed.

I would like to know the experience of members according to their

Lagna lord placement in thier charts, just to check the validity.

One min this is confusing , u say that th e lagna lord where ever it sits will

improve the house , rite,

then i have my LL sATURN SITTING IN THE 5TH , so u mean to say that the fifith

house becomes stronger which rules purva punnya, higher education , love life

and children

from all this

1) i have 3 major degrees, but i had alot of problems and breaks in getting it ,

had to face a lot of problems .

2)i have a very very bad love life

3)Children i dont known but every one who see my chart says i will have problem

in having children , i am just married and my wife' bdate is 8th sept 1975,

bombay ,evening 05:30pm

4) I dont known how should i check Purva punnya

the above r my experence

the LL in the 5th has given me more hardship then Raj yoga ,why

can u pls putt some light

Dear Prashu,

This is not what "I " say, but what I read. (I am not

Parasara to create dictums!!) Hence the post. To clarify the

contradiction:-).

Anyways, is your LLord alone in 5th wihtout any malefic aspects?

Just want to know, if you are having troubles with a LL in 5th

without any afflictions. About children, that is yet to know. Right?

Noticed

this post. I’ve written about this in my book as Ramesh has said, but you

can also find an article on my website, which i believe Rafal has referred to. Nevertheless

let me add some points here.

When the

lagnesh is placed in a good bhava, by this we mean good bhava FROM THE LAGNA. The

kendra/trikona are well placed from the lagna, and will thus support the lagnas

agenda, especially if lagnesh is there.

So this is

good for the LAGNA, but not necessarily for the bhava it is placed in.

Parijata states that Lagnesh in the fourth will give fame through knowledge. Here

the lagna is benefitting and giving fame, through the activity of the fourth

house. Based on this we can understand that wherever the lagna lord is placed

will give fame through that activity. If Lagnesh is in third house, then one

may become famous because of ones brother, or sister.

If Lagnesh

is in the fifth house then fame comes from supporters/children. If this is

reciprocated by the fifth lord through Parivartana, Yuti, samdristi, etc, then

it gives maharaja yoga.

Any planet

in any bhava is taking resources from that bhava. If planets are in lagna they

are influencing the native to make certain decissions, i.e. ninth lord in lagna

can make the person follow the gurus/fathers advise blindly, whilst third lord

in lagna can make one tempremental and attached to brothers. If this planet is

also lord of an evil house, like sixth or eighth, then alot of energy is spent

on protecting oneself from diseases, which are spreading in the body.

If the lord,

karaka and arudha of the bhava is also badly placed in the process, then the

bhava could die prematurely. I hope this helps in the understanding.
