Guest guest
can say that I am an astrologer who practises astrology after getting dakshina. Incidentally dakshina means talented also.... Dakshina is an offering given to a talented person because salary/ payment will sound too crude in that context. You are also probably working somewhere ( I pity your superiors, colleagues and subordinates!) Do you work free without a fee? So, what is the mistake when an astrologer practises for a fee? If you thought an astrologer is a saint it is your mistake. An astrologer is a person leading a normal life, maybe, preferably with more spiritual orientation. 3) Astrologically, Shri Adi Shankaracharya did not have Guru-Chandala yogam in his horoscope. You are obviously ignorant of astrology when you claim that the Great Saint had that yoga in his horoscope. First try to understand that no one is superior or inferior in the Universe. Even in your case, you have exalted yourself by becoming a member of a noble forum like this instead of a pornographic group. At the same time, you have brought yourself down by your jealous tirades against Gurus unnecessarily. 4) YOu have asked me what my qualifications are? I am officially a "Vidya Bachaspati"- the Sanskrit equivalent of "M.Phil". People like Pt.Sanjay Rath and myself are former Group I Gazetted officers who relinquished our posts to take up astrology. We are not part-time half-baked novices as you seem to think! We have the honour to take this excellent field as our full-time profession. We have dedicated ourselves to this field. If you cannot respect Pandits, well and good... atleast leave us alone and dont be a pain in our necks. I will not stoop to your level to ask your qualification. Whoever you are... you are obviously not qualified to judge everyone in this world. "Dont sit on judgment" is a basic tenet of astrology. 5) Guru-Sikshya tradition and ethos are difficult to understand by skeptics like you. There is no point in communicating in this manner. But, please do not malign great concepts like Guru-Sishya paramparya just because you are foolish enough not to understand it. I will not conclude my post by saying regards, because you do not deserve it. -------------------------------Other members please forgive me... I usually do not enter into unnecessary controversies like this because we astrologers have more important things to do. I did not intend to have such discussions in this exalted forum. That is why i sent a private mail to Mr.Chandra sekhar when I read a post maligning one of my well-wishers and also ridiculing accepted traditions like remembering great rulers of the past. Anushashana parva of Mahabharat is full of references of this sort, but Mr.Chandrasekhar adopts a holier-than-thou attitude for every suggestion based on classics. Even when someone points to references in classics, Mr.Chandrasekhar seems to be implacable, and his irreverent attitude towards the concept of Guru-Sishya deserves a public reprimand. That is why have posted this in the public forum. Enjoy this Diwali with Y! India Click here
