Visti, 12.0pt"> I am trying to send this mail since 2 days to the list but in vain as it is bouncing, hence am sending on your personal mail id. 12.0pt"> font-style:italic">[Visti] I checked your status, but don’t see why you are bouncing, though it does indicate that you are. I have given you ‘unmoderated’ status on the list now, so there should be no problem. 10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy"> Thanks for a lot of wisdom shared to the group. I have the request to guide me for the following matters and oblige. 12.0pt"> font-style:italic">[Visti] Your welcome. 10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy"> 01. For a person to finalise the match for marriage out of many proposals in hand, what considerations should be observed in terms of the mutual placement of Upapada of the proposed match ? 12.0pt"> font-style:italic">[Visti] Upapada matching is a different scenario. This shows WHO you consider as your spouse. If you do not consider your partner as a spouse, then you will not marry. font-style:italic">Here it is important to differentiate between two types of marriage first: Arranged marriages and Love marriages. The difference here is in ‘who is choosing the spouse’. If you let someone else choose for you, then it is considered an arranged marriage. If the decision is not out of love, we consider this an arranged marriage. In such cases the Upapadas of the couple will match each other, i.e. both upapadas could be in Taurus. These do not have to match each others lagna. font-style:italic">In love marriages, or those of self-choice, the upapada of the spouse should match your lagna, and vice versa. Then one will consider that person as a spouse and the marriage can happen, otherwise not and the match should not be advised. font-style:italic">A big dilemma among those who have practiced this is, that it can be difficult to know whether the native is in their first, second, third, etc relationship and what is the scenario? This takes some practice. Upapada matching is a must. 10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy"> 02. To what extent, do you find kuta matching pertinent in your experience? Should that be the main criterion for marriage alliance decision Vs Upapada placement ? 12.0pt"> font-style:italic">[Visti] The point system of matching does not give a clear idea of the matching, as some of the matching techniques need not be applied initially like Yoni or Vaishya matching, which only have a very temporary function or are limited to the conjugal life. Married life doesn’t limit itself to the bedroom alone! The Matching techniques applied from the Moon and its nakshatra are more indicative of the families/communities of the bride and groom, as well as the health and karmic indications. Here it should be mentioned, that matching of characters (especially Gana matching) should be done from lagna instead of Moon. This is also useful in predictions from the natal chart alone, i.e. if a native has a Sattvic planet in lagna, then they are deva gana by nature, but if their Janmanakshatra is in a Rakshasa Gana nakshatra, then the native will be shunned by their family, and also very different from it by nature. Your family and your personality may not be the same. font-style:italic">Rajiu and Vedha matching should always be applied without fail as it not only shows the ability of one partner to protect the other, but remedies based on the relationship as well. Gotra and Varna matching need not be applied unless the couple will be working together. In this way each of the techniques should be understood first, and not just used as a point system. 10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy"> 03. I have yet not understood how to observe Rasi (Bha) Kuta in matching scnerio. There are many conflicting rules in various texts. Kindly guide me to the underlying principle in it. 12.0pt"> font-style:italic">[Visti] This type of Kuta matching is interesting. Stri-Dirgha and Rashi kuta are similar, where the Rashi kuta has some pecularity. The stri-dirgha technique is to see whether the brides Moon is in the bright half or dark half from the grooms moon. I.e. if the grooms moon is in Taurus, then the brides Moon is well placed, if in the signs between Taurus and Scorpio (Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio). This is based on the principle of the bright and dark fortnights of the Moon. font-style:italic">This technique shows how much support is available from the grooms family/community, to support the bride. Since the bride used to leave her family to join the husbands, the support available for her is seen using this technique. Lack of support can give family disputes, monetary problems and etc. In todays world the husband may not be the sole benefactor in the family, hence this technique should be understood like this also. In many cases the brides family is a greater support to the relationship than the grooms. More below. 10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy"> 04. In Nadi kuta, the matching is done as usual by nakshatra classification. Some texts also tabulate nadis by nakshatra padas. Here again, there is a lot of confusion whether the classification against nakshatra pada finally dictate ? 12.0pt"> font-style:italic">[Visti] I was not taught Nadi/Bhuta matching, but i was told that this relates to genetics and health. I don’t think this can be substituted for other matchings. 10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy"> 05. Can the Gana Kuta dosha be neglected in case of Graha-maitri and Nadi's are matched. I have observed that many texts agree to almost agree to ignore most of the doshas if Graha-maitri and Nadi's are matched. Kindly guide. 12.0pt"> font-style:italic">[Visti] Graha Maitri: If the panchada sambandha (of the dispositors of moon signs - shubhapati) is inauspicious, then surely the bad effects of the Stri-dirgha and Rashi kuta will manifest. Because the graha maitri shows the actual relationship between the bride and groom, this is of absolute importance! 10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy"> 06. Finally, below is the birth details of a girl. 12.0pt"> Dr. Neelanjana Saxena 18-08-1978 03:26 Hrs IST Allahabad [81E51, 25N26], India 12.0pt"> Kindly indicate the rough estimate of marriage timing and oblige. 12.0pt"> font-style:italic">[Visti] This girl is on her first upapada. It will be an arranged marriage, due to the aspects of eighth lords on the upapada. The current time is looking very strong for marriage, and i believe she could finalize very soon, i.e. within the next year, based on the dasas. The transit of Jupiter into Scorpio after next summer should be planned as the marriage time. Advise the girl to fast on Fridays and perform Rudrabhisheka to bring the marriage quicker. 12.0pt"> Thanks 12.0pt"> Vijay Kumar 12.0pt"> ~ om tat sat ~ Thank you for maintaining the decorum of the Achyuta Ashram.
