Guest guest
Om Vishnave Namah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Anil. You've raised a good question, and in fact after reviewing your chart, it is clear that there are some complexities in place regarding GK yoga and Raja yoga that we can learn from. Let us consider the following points with respect to your inquiry: 1. In your horoscope, the is Mesha, with Jupiter and Moon (as you say) forming an outstanding Raja-yoga in the 4th house. In addition to GK yoga, Hamsa Maha-purush yoga forms by way of Jupiter's exaltation in a kendra; 9th lord Jupiter's exaltation in conjunction with his exaltation lord is another variety of Maha-Lakshmi yoga (see the rulerships from Chandra lagna); and, when benefics join the 4th, 10th, or 11th houses from the lord of lagna, Brahma yoga forms, an auspicious yoga conferring good fortune, education, and creative power in general. In this case the yogakarakas are Venus, Jupiter, and Moon. So, there is plenty of strength in this chart to suggest that you would achieve positions of fame and achievement in this lifetime. Then why are there struggles and setbacks in your case? Let us look further: 2. In order for Raja-yoga to come into manifestation fully, the Sun and Moon respectively have to be in strong positions. The Sun stimulates the yoga to manifest (of course, considering that operative dasa periods must also be contributive to the stimulation of the yoga); while the Moon sustains the effects of the yoga over a period of time. In your chart, the Sun and the Moon have some affliction, especially the Moon's occupation of a Marana karaka sthana (8th house) and afflicted by all the malefics in the Navamsa chart. It Jyotish, the utility of the Navamsa in gauging the final strength of graha yogas cannot be overstated, in fact even an exalted planet in the rasi chart which is debilitated in Navamsa, causes Raja-bhanga Neecha yoga (complete destruction of the Raja-yoga). Anyway, I believe that - though the Sun comes under affliction in your chart as well - the Moon's Navamsa position really needs to be looked at closely as a reason for your not enjoying (yet, anyway) the good effects of the beautiful Jupiter/Moon yoga in your rasi chart. 3. Of additional interest in your chart is the presence of Ghatika and Hora lagnas, in the lagna, with the aspect onto them by lagna lord Mars. Rahu is positioned in the lagna itself, thus making both of Mars and Rahu Maha-yogadas. They are poised to confer Raja-yoga too, if you can in some way move into the directions of life professionally speaking, that are most suitable for these grahas. You are a lawyer, evidently, by training and qualification, yet you are in a work situation where you are not using your law degree or education. Given the Vimsottari dasa period being that of Ketu right now, you would be working more menial jobs that do not pay well and also which do not provide much stability for you and your family. If you can seek employment in the areas of industry, technology, or construction.contracting, then these Maha-Yogadas will come alive and will confer better employment and thus income for your family. Employment here can relate to your training as a lawyer, yet manifesting in a different professional environment. 4. Note that Saturn and Mars form a powerful Raja-yoga in your chart also by their mutual aspects, Saturn being the 10th lord and Mars being the dispositor of the Amatyakaraka Rahu. Saturn and Mars again bring the areas of career connected to industry and technology, possibly working through oil refinement or such areas (note Rahu's participation here), while Mars from the 6th house aspects 10th lord Saturn in the 12th. This could mean that here is more opportunity overseas, or at the very least working in conjunction with foreign corporations or companies. My opinion is that this latter expression of Raja-yoga in your chart involving Rahu, Mars, and Saturn, will bring opportunities to you when the Narayana dasa of your Aries lagna starts on May 15, 2006, and which will operate until 2011. In the meantime, see to the propitiation of goddess Parvati as well as Lord Shiva (respectively Moon and Sun) to receive blessings so that the core promoters of Raja-yoga may be strengthened in your case. There is much more, as your chart has many interesting complexities, but try to digest the above for now! Guest guest
Dear Robertji, Thank u very much for your detailed explanation. Regarding the strength of moon let me ask u one doubt that in navamsa even though moon is positioned in 8th house, it is her own house and I hope it is salara yoga. Mars as the ruler of 12th house positioned in 8th house along with the lord of 8th house makes VRY. In dasa varga moon has got paaraavatamsaka. So is the moon is weak in my case? Guest guest
Dear Anil, You're welcome, my pleasure to assist. Yes, this is one of the matters I was referring to when I said that there were "many complexities" in your chart that would need to be examined. You are correct in saying that the Moon acquires strength being vargottama in Cancer. It also joins Mars to form Vipareet Raja-yoga, while Mars in and of itself gets a type of Neecha-bhanga by being debilitated but also retrograde. What this means is that a considerable rise follows adversity or initial struggles, this being the nature of the Vipareet yoga. So, as it all matters re: Jyotish, there are different sides or dimensions of an issue to examine. We have seen the case of some people, for example, who were born in very humble circumstances, yet rose in life to be famous and powerful. Karma works in these kinds of ways, and of course the degree to which either extreme of fortune and misfortune manifests, is what we have to examine from the horoscope. So in your case, the Moon's position in Navamsa causes trials earlier in life. If you consider the natural periods of planets (Naiskargika dasa), Venus' period runs from age 12 to 32, after which Jupiter runs from 32 to 50. It is during this Jupiter period, I believe, that your rise will take place and at such time you enjoy the higher results of VRY (due to Jupiter's powerful yoga with the Moon). You're in it now, certainly, but I believe will get the results during the Mesha Narayana dasa period. Finally, as PVR Narasimha Rao has mentioned, today is the Chaturdashi Tithi equal to a Monday, and thus propitiation of Lord Shiva will be especially powerful for all persons, especially in your case. Best wishes, Robert At 11:20 PM 11/13/2005, you wrote: Dear Robertji, Thank u very much for your detailed explanation.
