Namaste friends,

Tomorrow is a Monday of the lunar month Karthika. Mondays of Karthika month are

very auspicious for praying to Lord Shiva. Especially, tomorrow happens to be a

Chaturdasi tithi, also dear to Shiva. Thus, it is a very auspicious combination

of maasa, vaara and tithi for praying to Shiva.

Please pray to Shiva tomorrow evening. Prayers done to Shiva tomorrow will be

more effective than those made on a normal day. If you don't know how to pray

to Shiva, just repeat "Om Namassivaaya" as many times as you can.

Those of you who live near Boston are most welcome to visit my house for a

Rudrabhishekam. It will start at 6 pm on Monday (Nov 14) and end around 11 pm.

After the ritual, prasadam will be served for dinner.

Tuesday is Karthika Pournima, an auspicious day for praying to Lord Satyna

Narayana (personification of Truth and a form of Narayana). This is one of the

best Full Moon nights to pray to Lord Satya Narayana.

Please pray to Lord Satya Narayana on Tuesday night. If you don't know how to

pray, you can repeat the mantra "Om NamoBhagavate SatyaDevaaya" as many times

as you can.

Those of you who live near Boston are most welcome to visit my house for the

monthly Full Moon night Satya Narayana Vratam on the night of Tuesday (Nov 15).

It will start around 7 pm and go on till 10:30 pm. After the ritual, prasadam

will be served for dinner.

Incidentally, this will be the 64th consecutive month since we started our

practice of performing Satya Narayana vratam on each Full Moon night.

If you or anybody you know is in serious problems, I will be happy to include

your/their name in the sankalpam of the Satya Narayana vratam. Please send me

the name, gothram (if you don't know your gothram, indicate your preference to

Vishnu/Shiva so that I can use Achyuta/Shiva gothram), janma nakshatram

(constellation of Moon) and janma rasi (Moonsign). Unless I get too many

requests, I will try to include all the names I receive in email before 7 pm

GMT (2 pm EST) on Monday.

Those of you who live near Boston are most welcome to attend both the poojas and

have dinner. If you want, you can pick one of the poojas instead of attending

both too.

We live in South Grafton, 40 miles west of Boston. For directions, please call

508-839-1218 and ask for me or my wife Padmaja. You can also call her cell

phone number at 774-242-6990. Alternately, you can send email to my wife at

paddulu (AT) hotmail (DOT) com.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha
