Sourav’s mother consults astrologer:

Mumbai, Nov. 3: Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly’s mother has sought an

astrologer’s help for his cricket career. Nirupa Ganguly recently consulted

world famous astrologer Bejan Daruwalla, who is reported to have said that

the numbers 21 and 32 would be lucky for her son.

Daruwalla, 74, told this newspaper: “Yes, Ganguly’s family members are in

touch with me. Sourav Ganguly is a Cancerian who will not give up easily. He

is a high-spirited man and worthy of being in the Indian team.” On Ganguly,

Daruwalla said, “No guarantee can be given about his comeback. However, that

possibility is not ruled out either.”

And what has he to say about Team India coach Greg Chappell? “Chappell is a

Leo and a born leader. However, he will be too aggressive for the Indian

team. ”India’s new captain, Rahul Dravid, and Sachin Tendulkar have also

been consulting the astrologer. “The three of them (Dravid, Ganguly and

Tendulkar) can make a good team,” he said.

It seems Tendulkar’s brother Ajit, too, consulted Daruwalla and Sachin, on

his recommendation, has started using the number 33 on his jersey rather

than his favoured 10. In fact, Sachin was to use the number 33 in last

month’s ICC Super Series but could not participate because he was

recuperating from tennis elbow.

Swee: If Atul is also Cancerian, the number 33 is his badhakesh. No wonder

he has not recovered from a tennis elbow to use that new shirt of his ;-)
