Dear Raj,

The fact that we are astrologers, saints, spiritualists etc. doesn't give

us the power to change a person's destiny. Besides, the thing that you

have to learn is that you are not the temporary body you reside in at

present, but that you are a soul, a spiritual being, who is eternal and

never dies. You will just take on another body and have another chance to

come to spiritual enlightenment. It is out of material attachment that you

lament over the loss of people like in these accidents. The wise do not

lament over or hanker after the temporary, but rejoice in that which is

eternal. This is written in the Bhagavad-gita, and spoken by Bhagavan Sri

Krishna.

Hope this meets you well.

Yours,

Dhira Krsna dasa,

Bravo! Your first sentance says it all! Jyotishis are like doctors.

They can prescribe remedies but cannot guarantee with 100% prescience

how the individual patient would actually comply and respond to the

medication. Most patients (jyotish clients) forget that they have an

active role in this too. I have heard from a few jyotishi friends of

a few persons who were advised to fast on certain days and do certain

other procedures which they religiously followed but also continued

to take alcohol because it was "Bhairon Baba's prasaad!" And then

they wondered why the Jyotishi's prescription did not work though

they followed it for 2 years straight!
