Guest guest
Dear RAAGHAVAM ji, I am a keralite. I never heard about the text 'Manikanda Keralam' after this much years of experience. Never seen that name in cataloges of Manuscript libraries of kerala. Even though there is the word 'Keralam' in the name, may be it is not a kerala text at all. One thing for sure, that text is not available in kerala at present. I would like to know more about this text. Who is the author? What is the subject dealt with? Is it a 'Nadi text' like 'Deva keralam'? I would be thankful to the information provided. Guest guest
Namaste, Thank you very much for your reply. A very long time ago,may be in the year 1971 / 72, one Astrologer by name Sri.Balan (now may be 85 years old) living in the Sathuvachary area of Vellore (erstwhile Dist.HQ of North Arcot,Madras State,S.India) had mentioned two books (1) Sotha Keralam (2) Manikanda Keralam said to deal with Bava chackra and various other chackras, their calculations and interpretations. Three years ago in Egmore / DPI Library at Chennai,Tamilnadu, in an astrological Tamil classic it was mentioned that in the absence of availability of Manikanda Keralam one can copy the graha patha chara from a panchangam(for the purpose of manual maping of Rasi and Navansa chackra). --- Sreenadh <sreelid wrote: > Dear RAAGHAVAM ji, > I am a keralite. Guest guest
Manikanda Keralam has been mentioned in some of the Tamil astrological books that I have read and I feel that it is widely used by astrologers in Tamil Nadu.
