What is the name of that paper?2. Who is the author of that article and what sourcedid he quote for his information about birthparticulars of Ravana?3. When was it published? Is it available on web?More imprtant than anything else is:1. What was the date, time and place of birth ofRavana as per that article?2. What software, if any, has he used to calculate thesame?3. Has he discussed the results of the planetarycombinations as well? If yes, has he quoted anyauthorities in suppost of his conclusions. After I hear from you, I will share with you veryintersting information about "Ravana by Ravana"himself.Thanks.Mohan Jyotishi> --- In vedic astrology, Tarun> <tarun.virgo@g...> wrote:> > Dear All members,> > i read an article in Newpaper regarding Ravans's> horoscope.> > It showed that even Ravana had 5 planets Exalted> then why he was> destroyed.> > it showed him with libra lagna with saturn+moon in> it,> sun, mars, venus, guru exalted where as mercury> debilated.> > do someone have some knowledge Regarding his> horoscope and would like to> share with us.> > Thanks> > tarun> > --- End forwarded message ---> > > > > Music Unlimited Access over 1 million songs. Guest guest
OM GAM! Dear Tarun, Ravana was not a bad guy, he was a good guy and a perfect gentleman. He was not destroyed, he attained moksha, something most Hindus try to attain. He came to earth also with a mission and he attained it. Ramayana is very clear about the character of Ravana. Ravana's chart would be some thing handed down to us by tradition, it would be very interesting to look at. Guest guest
Dear Tarun, Please send me ravana's birth chart and birth data. I will give my analysis to everybody. Recently I was reading a book on astrology and read some information on ravana and his son inderjeet. They said when his son Inderjeet was born ravana tried his best to get all planets in the 11th house. But Saturn slipped out of 11th house and moved into his 12th house and led to his down fall. In my case they are all in 11th house. Some astrologers in India mentioned to me that ravana also had 7 planets in 11th house. I don't know if this is correct. I have a very busy schedule these days so I was absent from the forum for the past couple of weeks. Thanks G. Guest guest
Dear Vedic astrologers, It took me sometime to find the details about "Ravana" by "Ravana". I had forgotten as to where I had kept the "source" of information but somehow, I traced it again. The details are: A publisher of Dariba-Kalan, Delhi-10006, has published in a manuscript form i.e. literally an offset print of a handwritten work called "Ravana Samhita" in Hindi. The price is Rs.2500.00. It is advertised as "An extraoridnary book by Mahapandit Ravana, the king of Lanaka, on astrology....etc. etc." It is supposed to contain the results of all the janma kundalis like Brighu Samhita etc. I went through this book with all the impatience and eagerness of an ardent student to know about my futur3e life and this is what the author, "Mahapandit RAvana" has said on page 24, "A lot has been said about Ravana in the Ramayana etc. but there is no mention that he has written any books as such. Even if we suppose that he had written any books, it is impossible to find any authentic manuscript of a work that must have been written more than eight hundred thousand years back, as per the same Ramayana! There are a few 'mini books' on Tantra, medicine etc. available in the market, which are claimed to have been written by Maha-Pandit Lankeshwar Ravana. It appears that 'ghost writing' of all such books has been done in the recent past by somebody else and none of these works is authentic or reliable at all. They are meant only to benefit their publishers!". Now the bombshell by the "Mahapandit Ravana" in the same "Ravana Samhita" on page 25: "What is appliable to all such 'mini-books' (of Ravana) is also applicable to famous Brighu and Ravaana Samhita etc. in toto! Though Ravana had 'incarnated' in Treta Yuga, i.e. about more than 800,00 years back, but Maharshi Brighu, the supposed author of 'Brighu Samhita' existed still earlier i.e. in Satya Yuga, which has taken place more than 21,000,00 (twenty-one lakhs) of years back. That such an old manuscript can be available today is impossible to digest even for an average intelligent human being! The fact is that some people have been writing from time to time some books on predictive astrology which have been named as 'Brighu Samhita', 'Ravana Samhita' etc. etc. by their owners or publisehrs etc." And they have succeeded in making a fool of a common man! The book "Royal Horscopes" by late Prof. B. Suryanarayana Rao has several 'astronomically' impossible horoscopes so much so that in one horoscope Venus has been shown squaring either the Sun or Mercury -- I forget which planet and which chart it is, but it was discussed in the Astrological Magazine quite some time back. Most of those charts are imaginary and do not have any historical facts to support them. In fact, about thirty years back, in Northern India every panchanga contained horoscopes of Incarnations like Shri Rama, Bharatji, Lakshmaji, Shatrugan, and even Ganeshji, not to speak of RAvana! All of them showed exalted planets to the maximum and some planets in their own rashis! No planet was ever delbilitated! Thank God, those "horoscopes" have now disappeared! This is just for your information and "for favour of kind and necessary action". With regards, Mohan Jyotishi PS If you do not want to buy the "Ravana Samhita" but want to see it anyhow, It is available in Reference Section of Delhi Public Library, opposite Old Delhi Railway Station. I am sure it must be avaialble in some other big libaries as well! --- Mohan Jyotishi <jyotishi231 wrote: > > Dear Mr. Tarun, > Thee are a few questions which every astrologer > should > ask before discussing a horoscope: > > 1.
