Guest guest
Despite all my efforts to find something about Sri Irangati Rangacharya and his books, I have come to a naught. I even wrote to Sri Narasimha personally but drew a blank. This has set me thinking that many of our Astrology classics written or commented by eminent Scholars are being lost. Many publishers do not get enough money selling Astrology books especially that goes in depth to help us understand. I have recently found books by Sri Subramanya Sastri written in 1920s and 1940s with the help of Sri M. Ramakrishna Bhat. I also found a book called "Chappana" orginally written by illustrious son of Varahamihira and commented by Sri B. Suryanarian Rao. Even finding these books were by a stroke of luck. I am sure there would be many classical works with other people. Why don't we all pool our books together to make a library of Astrology, that will make photocopies of non available books to those who may want it? This will preserve some excellent books and make it a central repository. We can invite books in different languages to be translated into English. This is just an idea and it can only be done if everyone is willing to share. I invite your ideas and thoughts.
