Respected Venkatesh,

 

With respect to your message (pasted below) regarding

solar eclipse and amavasya, I have the following

question to ask:

 

I am still not clear with what is so unique about this

solar eclipse that it is taking place after 100 years.

Nodal axis takes 18 years to complete one revolution

round the zodiac. So I was under the impression that

after another 18 years when the nodal axis again

occupies Pisces - Virgo, a solar eclipse would occur

in the month of Purattasi during which Sun transits

the sign of Virgo. It would precisely occur when the

Moon comes in conjunction with Sun.

 

Please educate me as to what is so special about the

eclipse that is to take place on 3rd October 2005.

of Rahu and

Kethu around the zodiac.
