First a longevity calculation is done and thereafter, possible periods of dasha and transits are taken into account that can be fatal. When someone posts a significant event in one's life, we tend not to think in terms of death. Therefore, we don't make such calculations. However, that is no excuse to my limited sightedness in viewing the 4th house as a significator of only land and buildings or vehicles, and not of heart, and the 2nd house of wealth and not as a maraka. Had I been careful atleast heart condition should have been known, if death wasn't. These errors makes one angry at oneself. I predicted Mother's death for various reasons. that points out Negative event for 4th house. however that is not what i want to say. I am currently reading Krishnamurthi Reader and was keen to apply its principles. Therein, the principles suggest that the dasha lord will give results not as per its significations but as per the Nakshatra lord and Sub lord significations. 4th house become evident by all means. KP is clear that we should check whether or not it is joyous occassion. It also takes the Vara lord into consideration. Sun is the Vara lord and it is significator of longevity and it in the Saturn/Venus as NL/SL. This lead me to believe that longevity was protected as lagna lord was involved. Obviously, I did not consider all the possibilities. I will need to practise this method much more and apply it to my life.
