It is most likely that you were using the previous day in your manual calculation. In fact, when I use the previous day and the same time, I do get a longitude in 2-3 deg. For some reason, your manual calculation must be off by a day. JHora uses Swiss Ephemeris for calculations and errors should be of the order of less than 1 arc-sec in the longitudes of planets. Due to some difference between JHora's treatment of ayanamsa, the deviation can sometimes be several arc-sec. However, an error of 12 deg is simply ruled out. You MUST be making a mistake. Kindly check again. Someone else talked about differences in ashtakavarga etc. Please note that JHora offers several options in the computation of ashtakavarga. Please check your settings carefully. > Kindly treat this e-mail as a genuine feedback with no other > intentions in mind. I will treat so. But please check your calculations again. I entered the data into the Swiss Ephemeris calculator also and the calculations match. > The longitude and latitude of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India is > incorrect. If you look carefully, JHora gives you 4 different Kanpurs. Unfortunately, sometimes there are several towns that have the same name. One of them may be popular and others may be less popular. JHora knows all of them, but does not know which one of them is the most popular one. This is an advantage and a disadvantage too. When you use JHora and search for a city and find one, don't assume that there is only one. Check if multiple matches were found. If so, you are on your own to find out which is the one you are looking for. If you look at the matches given for "Kanpur" in "India", you will see that the popular city of Kanpur is also in the list. The first match in the list is a different Kanpur. I am working on making the most popular cities come up at the top of the list instead of a less popular namesake. Guest guest
Dear Narasimha Raoji, In Sania's case Moon is 14 Deg 48 min as per in my own software. As my Software is developed using fundamental equations of motions of Planets , it has given quite accurate results for many years. But I have found JHora and many other professional Software do give accurate results. Regards, Anil - Narasimha P.V.R.
