Guest guest
Dear Friends, Namaste, All of a sudden the above topic cropped up in my mind when i was enjoying a cup of very hot tea. Generally food/drinking habits can be known from 2nd house, its lord etc...But Connection of Mars with Lagna & Lagnesh has a definite veto as far as `Chay' goes. Many people in general start with a cup of tea and mostly take 1 or 2 cup a day but there are some who almost have obsession with tea & that too taking it when it is very hot. I am one of those few having Mars in Lagna exchanging house with Lagnesh. Now while trying to co-relate it to Jyotisha Principles, it seems to me that Mars is the focus. I tried to recollect charts of few people and found one guy who was my ex-colleague having Mars in Scorpio Lagna with Venus and we both are compulsive Tea-drinker. You can offer it any time, no matter how many times, we still won't say NO. The above examples are not adequate to form a firm opinion hence members can see for themselves and try to verify or disprove if at all it has some truth in it. MARS HAVING STRONG RELATION TO LAGNA & IT'S LORD CREATES LOT OF ATTACHMENTS TO HOT TEA & SPICY FOOD. What is your opinion? best regards, utpal pathak PS: This is just to sharpen our predictive power in correctly analyzing specific habits of Jatak. Part-2 will be of Non-veg & Alcoholic drinks

Guest guest
Your Lagnesh is Mars, alright but it is not placed in Lagna or no way aspect your lagna. my point is that Mars should influence both lagna & Lagnesha strongly to generate strong liking towards Tea. otherwise tea is a normal drink and every 3 rd person will be having it daily. it is only the strong Influence of Mars on Lagna as well as Lagnesha may generate Strong desire to have frequent tea drinking. anyway thanks for your inputs. utpalDevika Dhillon <devikadhillon > wrote: Dear Utpal, You wrote: "Generally food/drinking habits can be known from 2nd house, its lord...But Connection of Mars with Lagna & Lagnesh has a definite veto ". Guest guest
Dear Utpal Ji, Truely Interesting! Could we use this same logic in determining someone's business in this related field say a chai wala or an owner or operator of a coffee shop or coffee shop franchise? Is coffee generally related to Mars, Rahu since it has addictive tendencies some people are hooked on coffee, or maybe Venus since it is considered a luxury drink also like those cold coffees etc. There also have been a theory circulating that people who smoke are also addicted to coffee. Perhaps due to the mix of nervous effect of coffee and calming effect of the cigarette. Yet both are hot. My personal contribution to this topic. Im a Leo lagna with Mars yogakaraka aspecting the Lagna from the 6th house and its conj the Lagna Lord. I love drinking tea in the morning and I can drink it hot way ahead of others. I dont prefer drinking coffee coz it gives me a nervous effect. My Rahu is in the 12th house. Could this be the reason since rahu gives erratic results? Sincerely, Kamlesh vedic astrology, Devika Dhillon <devikadhillon> wrote: > Dear Utpal, > You wrote: "Generally food/drinking habits can be known from 2nd house, its lord...But Connection of Mars with Lagna & Lagnesh has a definite veto ". > I am Aries ascendant and my lagna lord Mars is in 2nd house(Taurus). Guest guest
Interesting discussion on food!! The point to be noted or analysed is 2H, 2HL and its aspects. LL-Mars in 2H for an Aries Ascendant, here implies, some finishing his / her food fast!!! Mars is a action oriented planet and he has little patience !!! Venus is a "slow eater". One has to apply "Desh, Kaal Patra" in all such cases. Rahu aspect on 2H also implies " taking non-vegetarian food and drinking liquor". This is ok in indian context. When seen from an european or western concept, it makes no meaning. Guest guest
Thanks for you erply & input. first of all let me clear one thing that Desh/Kaal/Paatra principle is by default in any of our astrological discussions even if the mention of it is not there. I have a Mars & Venus combination & i am a very fast eater. i finish my food very fast. Now i rememered one more chart who has a Strong Influence of Mars on Lagna as well Lagnesh. I remembered it when he has written following line in a recent mail.. "There are no charges but students are expected to buy coffee for Pt.Rath :)" i am not aware if Shri Sanjay Rath is also habitual with Tea/cofee. regards, utpalSre_eram <sreeram64 (AT) satyam (DOT) net.in> wrote: Interesting discussion on food!! Guest guest
I am a regular reader of this forum as it helps me getting good knowledge on Astrology. This perticular subject became very exciting as am a fast eater. I am a worst sufferer of this habit. You name it anything..............in eating. I would be the first person to finish it off. I ask my friend to remind everytime whenever we have lunch together. I manage by stop eating in between to cope up with their timing but definitely not by eating slowly. I have been trying to get rid off this habit but in vain. After reading this article, I checked my horos. My second house lord is Mars who is in 9th House which is his own. ( Scorpio) along with Venus. Sun,Moon,Jupitor,Mercury and Raghu are sitting in 10th House as a joint family( Sagittarius) Saturn is in third house ( Taurus) HOWEVER, FAST EATING IS NOT GOOD FOR HEALTH AND DIGESTIVE SYSTEM. Request you to throw light to get rid off this habit astrologically! Best regards to all.
