Guest guest
Dear respected members I am sharing the mail written as reply to Narasimha ji,for our understanding and comments. 1. Tantra is not a sastra based on logic - ancient tantrik works are founded on experience and the aim of Tantra is "nirvikalpa jnanam" which is the "truth" or reality of the confounding existence. 2. What you have quoted as 14 Chakras have no authentic reference - ancient Tantrik works speak of Shadchakras (in some places Sahasrara is mentioned as the 7th which is an aberration as the Chakras are nervous plexus that aid the ascent of Kundalini and Sahasrara is the terminal point and not a Chakra. Sahasrara to Muladharam is the Merudandam and extends over 240 degree) and the Muladharam marks the bottom of the cerebro-spinal axis and longitudinally this is the end point of Scorpio - 240 degrees. Tantrik term Muladharam arose from the conception of a Yogic body on the apparent solar orbit. When the Yogic cosmo-biological or micro-macrocosmic experience was given mathematical _expression using the correlation between Prana-Surya and Surya, Mula star was found to be at 240 degree - marking Muladharam. In fact the planetary transits over Mula (Lambda Scorpii) can be experienced over a Tantrik body. More details I hope you have found in my papers like "Geometry of circannual rhythm". 3. As I have mentioned in some later works which I have sent to you, Kalapurusha is a Yogi engaged in Pranayama and Muladharam is the seat of Apaana. Apaana is related to Mrtyu and as is well known 240 degree is the Mrtyustana. It marks also genitals - Linga and Yoni and hence the tantrik tradition worship Mahakala as Linga-Yoni. All these concepts had their origin from the Yogic experience of human nervous system. I am not going into the details of the autonomous nervous system etc and what feel a Yogi gain of the nervous system - how it is related to the encrypted data of previous karma and births etc. Such occult aspects can be understood only by experience.
