Take for example, when you make a chart in SJC free to download software for a given "critical" time, for a place , you will end up with a different lagna and if you go to a astrologer with that "horoRscope", all his predictions would go wrong and also loose your hardearned money!!! Example : 10th Jan. 1935, Kanpur, 09:15 using SJC software would give Capricon Lagna with Ascendant 24 degrees.... But when you calculate it manually, it comes to Aquarius lagna with Ascendant 4degrees..... The difference is lies due to difference in longitude & latitudes considered in the database of SJC software. Further there are many astronomy related technical matters in a horoscope casting, which is beyong the comphrension of ordinary / novice members. Ex. : No two softwares would give you same dasha calculations. Each software application will differ with other from few days to months. The creator of the software Mr. P.V. R. Narasimha Rao, has rightly given the option of configuring the co-ordinates accordingly. I do appreciate, that verification of longitudes and latitudes is very difficult to verify for any astrologer and we all depend on "acceptable databases", which in itself contain some errors. Mr. PVR has done a great job, by giving it free. Provide him necessary technical feedback with earnest cause, so that he can also evaluate and come out with better software versions, with more accuracy. It is my sincere advice, for all the novice members to specify the software and the version used in casting the horoRscope. It is my view that this may atleast prompt the experienced astro_members if the chart has been correctly or not. Do not recommend anything unless you really experimented and know the subject.
