Let us analyze it different way. Consider Exchange between LL & 12H implies - LL going to 12H from itself. whereas 12HL going to 2H from itself. Here LL is losing, 12HL is gaining Exchange betwen 3H & 4H implies - Lord of Upchaya House( 3HL ) going to Kendra & Kendra Lord ( 4HL ) going to Upchaya House Here 3HL has gained whereas 4HL is losing Exchange between 4H & 5H implies - Lord of Kendra goes to Trine & Trine Lord going to Kendra Here Vishnustan going to Lakshmistan, hence above logic is though still applicable, effect is much less and sometimes protective. partly classified as rajyoga Exchange between 9H & 10H implies - same as above. Exchange between 6H & 8H or with 12H - Constitutes Vipereet Raj Yoga ( what you gain in this dasha period, it taken back !!! rise & down fall ) Hence things are not that straight in astrology. Every thing is relative. to answer your query, exchange between kendra & trine is desirable and gives good results. It is also a type of raj yoga. Remember there are more than 25 types of raj yoga. For example for Meena lagna, exchange of 3rd lord Venus and 9th lord Mars will actually give the result related to exchange of 2nd and 8th. Lot of problem in repayment of heavy loans.
