Namaste Devika and All,

 

Please refer my recent message, where I have given some useful link

for Sanskrit learning and its resoures.

I) Also, after few weeks of my detailed research I have found

the following books are believed to be helpful in my Sanskrit

learning. I have purchased the following and learning

from them:-

 

1) Sanskrit Bal Kanika - Praveshika

2) Sanskrit Bal Kanika - Part - I

3) Sanskrit Bal Kanika - Part - II

4) Sanskrit Bal Kanika - Part - III

5) Manika Part - I

6) Manika Part - II

 

The above 6 books are available at Delhi, and a kind person

purchased from Delhi and gave it to my friend Nitin and who

in turn got them to USA for me. So try to get them from any

Book Stores in Delhi.

 

II) I have seen the following book is very good and very well

structured and looks very good for learning Sanskrit too:-

 

*** Devavanipravesika: An Introduction to the Sanskrit Language

from University of California, Berkely.

 

III ) I am in the process of acquiring the following books as

they are also believed to be very good.

 

1) Teach Yourself Sanskrit Complete Course by Michael Coulson

2) Introduction to Sanskrit, Part 1, by Thomas Egenes

3) Introduction to Sanskrit, Part 2, by Thomas Egenes

 

Most importantly, the pronouciation so I would suggest you

to get hold of some audio lessons too.

 

Fortunatly, I grown up in a family where lot of my family

membrs are familiar with the Sanskrit language and also the

language Telugu is closely related to Sanskrit like any other

Indian Languages, so I have a bit of advantage and rest the

blessings from my Guru Ji and my Mother Mahalakshmi to learn

this wonderful language.

Very True, that is why, I have decided to learn Sanskirt

few months ago and I am learning now.

 

I have forgot to write the Sanskrit Learing resouce I have

found in my earlier message. I found the following an excellent

site to have a lot of material in a systematic way to learn

Sanskrit.

 

Go to the following link and click on "Learn Sanskrit" menu

option in the bottom and then click on ebooks options.

Also, if some one is interested, there is a wealth of

information and audios on Veda's too. I had spent all of

my free time on this site for the past few weeks.

 

I hope the above information may be useful to some enthusiast's

like me in the list who are interested in learning Sanskrit.
