Influence of Ketu in a chart: TO all MEMBERS WHO previously responded

Dear members,

We have two three major opinions regarding the effect of ketu:

1.) Ketu gives the results of the nakshtra lord.

2.) Ketu gives the results of its dispositor in rasi/navamsa.

3.) It all depends on the dasa lord and its relationship with ketu.

Also the lagna lord.

Now I understand that the third statement is very general and is

true for the influence of any planet in a chart.

If we take the sum of first two statements for my chart:

Ketu is in Jupiter;s sign --> both in rasi and navamsa.

Ketu is in Mercury's naksahtra.

This combined with the fact that jupiter and mercury are strongly

related in my chart (Forming a VRY) should indicate that KEtu would

give the results similar to jupiter.

Can the members comment if this line of reasoning is correct?

Namaste

Ketu and Rahu are considered Karmic controlling planets and their

respective host rasi lords are Karmic Controlling Planets. The

mutual aspect of KCP with Rahu / Ketu are triggering points of chart.

Nakshatra Host of Rahu / Ketu certainly has bearing on the behaviour

& intensity of influence on these karmic planets; BUT for rahu /

ketu to be positive (yoga karka) planet for a chart, Sage Parashara

has stipulated only one condition of their association (aspect /

conjunction with preferred positioning in trine) with yogakarka

planet for chart.

Rahu / Ketu's relaionship with maraka planets are seldom good.

Yes, ketu / rahu can bear the characteristics of the influencing

planets / houses / constellations / Rasi etc, but the crux is to

identify the triggering points with rahu / ketu for their fullest

karmic influences. All houses / Rasis / Planets (including rahu /

ketu) has both the influences - good and bad, as each one signify

many things. So no specific positioning is bad or good in totality.

It got to be read for specific issues.

Like 11th lord and 11th house (though the house of gains) many a

times, ends up as most malefic planet and I have yet to find 11th

lord dasa very good in totality.

MC Jain in his books on Rahu / Ketu has beautifully explained the

effects.

namaste

my as is aries ,sun being in fourth house along with venus ,mercury

and jupiter(exalted);moon is in second house (exalted) ;saturn and

rahu are in fifth house;ketu in 11th and mars in third.

i'm presently going thru mahadasa of rahu antardasa of mercury.

makshatra lord for ketu is rahu and for rahu is venus.

is my rahu /ketu yogakarak?are they benficial?
