Namaste friends,

My students at Boston have created a book by listening to all my audio lessons

and writing notes to summarize the salient points of each lesson. This book was

given to me as gift for the recent Guru Pournima. You can find more on it in the

mail enclosed below.

You can download a soft copy of the book in pdf format at:

http://vedicastro.home.comcast.net/book1.htm

The students have also offered the option of ordering a hard copy of the book

(which includes a CD containing the mp3 audio of the first 45 lessons, which

were downloadable on the internet until recently). They priced it $18 in USA to

cover printing and postage expenses. They priced it at Rs 450 in India.

You can order the hard-copy plus CD at the site above. Whether soft or hard

copy, I and my students hope that you enjopy the book!

Re: Book on line

Namaste Santhosh and others,

Here is some background for those who did not know:

When the students of the Boston class gave me a gift on 2004 Guru Pournima, I

told them that I did not need any material gifts and learning the knowledge to

the best of their ability and spreading it selflessly was the greatest gift

they could give me.

They took it to heart and gave me a thoughtful surprise gift this year. They all

came to the Satya Narayana vratam at my house on Guru Pournima with a special

gift. They all shared the lessons, listened to the audio again and summarized

the salient points of each class and wrote the summary down in text format.

They created a book with the notes and had 50 copies printed. They brought the

copies to my house and we kept them in the pooja.

After each student took a copy, some copies were left. They want to sell them

(for no profit, i.e. just to cover printing and mailing expenses). You can find

the contact address on the lessons site. After the copies are distributed, they

may be putting the book online for downloading. The download site will of

course be the lessons site listed below. I will talk to Seshu tomorrow and find

out the timeframe.

The students learnt the lessons and created a tool that can help others learn

more efficiently and I was very happy with their gift. The mp3 audio that we

put on the internet every week is useful, but audio is a linear format. You

cannot search for words in audio. If you get a doubt in the middle of a lesson

and want to search the previous lessons for something specific, it is tough. If

you have the summary of all lessons in text format, it can be a valuable tool

when listening to the audio lessons for cross-references. It can serve as a

good recapitulation tool also. The students have worked hard on the book and

Narayan Iyer helped them by editing the notes they created. I am very proud of

the whole team.

Dear Narasimha

No words can best describe the noble gesture on your part and that of

your students in sharing the hard work through this excellent

compilation. In a way, I see a modern sage in you too, considering your

selfless contribution to the jyotish world (the other being our Sanjay-the

architect behind all these activities and lists, now somewhere in

Serbia or the USA!!).

Quite naturally now, the world will expect the next lessons also. Not

to forget your forthcoming book! And more and more....But then, your

contribution is now an inspiration for others to emulate. Maybe many

will also start writing.

You are probably causing your karmic balance sheet to be re-written

often through such good karma. What is in your chart that makes you

contribute to jyotish world? I haven't seen it, but I guess I should

study it.

I pray to Ishwara to shower His blessings on you, your family and your

students. Truly, a brilliant work.

Best wishes

It is very good contribution to the part of astrology lokha, where many

would be able to understand it better the inner secrets the great Rishi's as

given in most cryptic form.As PVR

it self said in one class that still astrology is not science so every body has

there on vision and interpretation on a chart, this book really helps to unite

people in thoughts of interpretations

of many. When it happens it possible to experiement on many charts by many people

with same principle which will enable to others also understand. If we don't

consolidate on our approach and interpreation over chart in unified way , each

may say this event for chart being happened because of this , other will say

this is being happened because some other reasons,so unifying on a basic

principles is very much required, as many rishis though saying different slokas

with differed approaches , all should lead to one answer. Lets hope that in year

to come all your's effort make a great science which help human race in every aspects of life.

Thanks once again to all who made this great contribution

Namaste

As per the book, the deities shown for Jupiter are Parameshwara and

Sada siva and for the Sun it is Shiva. What is the precise difference

between Parameshwara/sadasiva and Shiva?

Some time back during a discussion, somebody expressed the opinion

that debilitated planets may indicate a female deity? Is this true?

What does it mean when the AK (Moon) is debilitated in the Rasi

(placed in lagna) and the ista(jupiter) is debilitated in the navamsa

and placed in navamsa lagna which is 12th from karakamsa?

thanks

Pournima with a special gift. They all shared the lessons, listened

to the audio again and summarized the salient points of each class

and wrote the summary down in text format. They created a book with

the notes and had 50 copies printed. They brought the copies to my

house and we kept them in the pooja.

sell them (for no profit, i.e. just to cover printing and mailing

expenses). You can find the contact address on the lessons site.

After the copies are distributed, they may be putting the book online

for downloading. The download site will of course be the lessons site

listed below. I will talk to Seshu tomorrow and find out the

timeframe.

The mp3 audio that we put on the internet every week is useful, but

audio is a linear format. You cannot search for words in audio. If

you get a doubt in the middle of a lesson and want to search the

previous lessons for something specific, it is tough. If you have the

summary of all lessons in text format, it can be a valuable tool when

listening to the audio lessons for cross-references. It can serve as

a good recapitulation tool also. The students have worked hard on the

book and Narayan Iyer helped them by editing the notes they created.

I am very proud of the whole team.
