Guest guest
Namaste All, I wanted to know, if any one is coming from outside of Boston to attend the Boston Workshop on Oct 15 2005. I am writing this, becuaswe, Just now I was looking for flight cost (US$300+), hotel(US$175+ for three nights) room and rental car (US$100+) and they are getting expensive! I am planning to come there on Friday(Oct 14th) evening and return on Monday(Oct 17th) morning as the Northwest non stop flight takes about 4+ hours one way, so could not even plan on coming back on Sunday after the workshop as it will be very late. I did not realize that I have to take two days leave and spent this much money to share my a little knowledge. Anyway, next time I will give a thought before committing. Earlier, I thought of staying with some one to reduce the expenses of Hotel and rental car, but now I am thinking of renting the hotel and car myself. So, I wanted to get the expenses less to get there to give my presentation by sharing with some one the Hotel and Rental Car expenses. So please write to me if some one is interested in sharing the Hotel and Rental Car expenses with me. RegardsRaghunatha RaoDo You ?
Guest guest
Dear Raghunath, As I indicated to you earlier, I can arrange for your stay at my house or the house of some friends in the same neighborhood. Last year, all the attendees from other states/country stayed at my house and 2 Indian homes in a walking distance. We made arrangements to pick up people at the airport and drive them here and also drive them to/from the workshop venue. We all had dinner together at my house and had astrological discussions after the dinner. It worked out nicely. We are going to do the same thing this year. So you are most welcome to stay with us. We can pick you up at the airport and drop you at the airport. We can give a ride to/from the workshop venue. We will take care of your breakfast, lunch and dinner. One of the days last year was Ganesh Chaturthi and we had a Ganesh pooja at my house and all the out of station attendees took part in it. This time, October 16 is Pournima. So out of station attendees who are not in a hurry to leave on Sunday night can attend our monthly Satya Narayana vratam. We can pick you up at the airport at any time of Friday/Saturday, however late in the night or early in the morning. Last time, I picked up one speaker at the airport at 1:30 am and dropped another at the airport at 4:00 am (on another day). Even though I will be busy with Satya Narayana vratam on Sunday night, I can arrange for someone to drop you off even if you want to leave on Sunday night during vratam. Basically, we can pick you up/drop you off at the airport at ANY time on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday. > I did not realize that I have to take two days leave and spent this > much money to share my a little knowledge. Anyway, next time > I will give a thought before committing. First of all, no knowledge is "little". Your guru has a lot of confidence in your knowledge and hence so do I. Secondly, we will try to reimburse you for the travel. Though the events I organize are always based on voluntary donation rather than set fees, we have always genrated enough money to meet our needs thanks to the kind donations from attendees. Though I do not like to guarantee it, we may be able to reimburse you for the travel. In fact, we had a surplus last year and it was given to SJC, India. Thirdly, I am sorry to know that you are feeling that you may not have given enough thought before committing. While I will be very glad to have you here, I do not want you to do it unhappily. If you feel that you have made a wrong decision and have your guru's permission to undo it, please note that there are no hard feelings from my end. Your happiness is my happiness in this matter. I don't want to compel you because you committed. I hope my condemnation in the puzzle cheating case has nothing to do with this and that you are not feeling unwelcome as a result of it. As the list admin, it is my responsibility to be stern, warn people when something is established beyond reasonable doubt, send a clear message when someone offends and try to maintain the sanctity of the cherished traditions of the list. You will not meet the administrator of vedic astrology list at the workshop, but you will meet the organizer of the workshop who is a humble student of Jyotisha and has great respect for your guru and hence you. You will certainly be most welcome. If you still feel that you made a mistake and did not think enough before committing, I will be happy to give you a chance to correct it. I am planning to start advertizing the event locally and on the lists this week. Please let me know soon, so that I can make alternate arrangements and send out a mail to various people. But I do hope you decide to come and, more importantly, come happily and not out of a compulsion. You can communicate with me via private email (pvr (AT) charter (DOT) net) or call me at 508-963-6273 (cell). * * * We are just about to start advertizing the greater Boston workshop locally. I will also send a mail to the lists soon. But, please note that any attendees who want to stay near my house and get a ride to/from the airport are most welcome to contact me (pvr (AT) charter (DOT) net) or my wife (paddulu (AT) hotmail (DOT) com). We should be able to arrange accommodation with local Indian families and airport rides. We will also be happy to provide Indian vegetarian dinner at our house on both the days. The workshop is a free event and there is no set fee, but you are welcome to make voluntary donations based on your capability. I will send out a more detailed mail next week. * * * Let me add a little astrological content to this mail. Take the lunar new year chart of London. It is cast on 2005 April 8, at 8:32:36 pm (1 hour east of GMT). Take the compressed Vimsottari dasa (compressed to the lunar year). Venus dasa was running on July 7, 2005. In the rasi chart, Venus is the lagna lord, but in marana karaka sthana. In Rudramsa (D-11, chart of death and destruction), Venus is the 3rd and 8th lord exalted in lagna. Moreover, he is with Rahu. Thus, Venus dasa shows some violence that comes as a shock. Guest guest
Om Krishna Guru Namaste Narsimha Ji, Thanks for the reply. I am coming to the Boston Workshop to give my little knowledge to my fellow studetns as planned and there is no change on the commitment for this time. So please go ahead and make your workshop arrangement accordingly. I have buried the puzzle stuff already and do not like to talk with you or list Admin or Workshop organizer any more about that and also, it has nothing to do with my this message. I have expressed (sincerely), that I did not realized a lot of money is involved in me coming for this, till I got today to book my air tickets and hotel and car hence I wrote that. Anyways, thanks for your offer and I will wait for any reply from any one who is also coming from outside like me and wiling to share the hotel and car rental with me. That would be my first option as I do not like obligations and prefer to be like that. If some one is coming to Boston and willing to share with me,then I request them reply to me privately. Other folks, there is no need for any further communication in this please. Regards Raghunatha Rao vedic astrology, "Narasimha P.V.R.
