Dear Sirs,

In my chart the transit jupiter is transiting 22nd nakahatra from

the nakshatra occupied by natal moon. I have read in many astrology

books that 22nd Nakshatra represents one's destruction.

Jupiter has always given me excellent results as it rules my lagna

and moon sign. But last 6 months were very difficult as Jupiter is

not helping me at all. Is it because Jupiter is transiting the 22nd

nakshatra? I am in Jupiter/Jupiter/Saturn right now.

My birth data is given below:

Date of birth: Feb 3rd, 1962

Time of birth: 10:03 AM

Place of birth: Ludhiana, India

I appreciate comments from all gurus.

Regards

G. Singh

Dear G Singh, It is impossible to predict your chart because all the

planets excepting Moon are lumped in the 11th house.

BTW, You can be a great astrologer, because all the astrological

significators like Dr Brihaspati, Prof Shurkracharya, and Pundit

Mars are together in the 11th house which is one of the keystone

house of astrology.

Good money can come thru your wife because the 7th lord is also in

11th. However it has several good and bad company and therefore I

cant tell you how it will turn out, for sure there are several women

involved, (infer that first wife is quiet or is gone) and only in

rare cases will such an arrangement turn out to be profitable.

Again too much planets in a house and too few cases examined to give

you a definitive prediction

Dear Predectiveinc ji,

You are right, I am very good in astrology. My chart is very

complicated, that is why I learnt astrology. I have seen bigs ups and

downs in my life. My ex wife was millionaire. After my first marriage

I didn't marry again. Sure there are many women involved as I am very

handsome and good looking.

Jupiter, Mercury, and Ketu are best planets in my chart because they

are in 11th house, and they are in the Dhanistha Nakshatra ruled by

2nd and 9th house lord Mars. Mars is exalted in the 11th house but

is in the nakshatra ruled by 6th house lord sun.

I have been told by so many astrologers that these 11th house planets

will give me sudden wealth. Many famous astrologers have predicted

that I will win a big lottery in my lifetime.

I am in Jupiter Mahadasha right now and jupiter in 10th house from

natal moon does not give good results. When it will enter 11th house

from natal moon then it will be good.

Regards

Dear Mr Singh,

Your chart is indeed inetersting. however I am more than a little surprised

to hear from you that Jupiter is one of the better planets for you. Granted,

Jupiter is the Lagna Lord as well as the Moon sign lord and generally

speaking ,11th house is a good position for Jupiter to be in. But consider

the following factors

1. He is debilitated in Cp with no cancellation of debility.

2. At 20 cp he is definitely combust by 6th lord Sun

3. He is posited in the house of Saturn who is Jupiter's enemy in your chart

layout

4. Jupiter is in an almost exact conjuction with Ketu thereby loosing

whatever little powers he may have in terms of doing good ,to Ketu.

5. His Dispositor Saturn is debilitated in Navamsa thereby further weaking

him(this affects all planets in the 11th and the 11th house too)

6. Weak in terms of Shadbala strength and middling at best from a Vimsopaka

bala point of view

Purely from learning perspective, what are the redeeming factors that you see

in Jupiter's situation in your chart that is strong enough to counter these

malefic factors. I dont see any.

Regards,

Suresh

Dear Suresh ji,

I have a very complicated chart. I used to get conflicting

predictions from astrologers. Then I decided 15 years ago that I am

going to master vedic astrology. In last 15 years I learnt vedic

astrology with some very famous astrologers all over world. Many

times what we learn from traditional astrology books does not work in

real life.

Just getting 7 planets in 11th house does not do any good. We need to

look at the nakshatras occupied by natal planets. Jupiter, ketu,

Mercury are in Dhanistha nakshatra ruled by 2nd and 9th house lord

mars, and mars is exalted. Dhanistha also represents wealth. These

three planets have give me wealth in the past and they will give

wealth in future.

Many astrologers thought that Mars is the wealth giving planet. But

it is not as it is placed in Uttar ashadha nakshatra ruled by evil

6th house lord sun.

People think rahu and ketu as always bad, and it is not true. If they

are placed in good house in good nakshatra they can give you

excellent results.

Jupiter is deblitated in 11th house but it will placed in navamsha

and is in dhanistha nakshatra ruled by 2nd and 9th lord mars.

According to your analysis a deblitated and combust jupiter conjunct

ketu should give me terrible health as it rules lagna and moon sign.

But that is not the case. I have excellent health and looks. I am 43

years old but look like 30. I am 6 feet 1 inches tall and weigh

100kgs. Three benefics conjunct ketu have given me excellent looks.

According to traditional astrology books Venus conjunct sun should

give me diabetes. But I don't have diabetes and I eat sugar every day.

When you have 5 plants jupiter, ketu, mercury, venus and sun from

degree 20 to 26, the net result can be very confusing.

King Abdullah of Jordon is also born around same time. He has all

these planets in 2nd house from lagna and 4th house from moon.

I appreciate comments from everybody.

G. Singhji

This 6/7 planet conjunction has caused lot of astrologers - big

headaches and wrong predictions. KN Rao gives a very similar example

(born around the same time as yours)in his book on Mandook Dasha. He

then goes to explain why one should use various dashas, other than

Vimshottari, to track and predict one's life events. The case

discussed in that book was that of a Air Force pilot in India.

I will look into your chart soon. But it appears that you already

know a lot of astrology. Thank you for coming forward and sharing

with all us here. It it a chart that I can learn from.

I recently came across US Attorney Gonzlaes's chart who has all

planets except Rahu/Ketu in quadrants. One other person is

Secretarty of State Rice with all planets except Moon in quadrants.

Dear Mr Singh,

Thanks for your reply. It was indeed a very useful having this dialogue with

you. Enjoyed going through your analysis which obviously places a high

weightage on the constellations the planets are posited in. The principle

that planets are forced to give results of the lord of the constellation

that they are posited seems to prevail over other variables, maybe since the

constellation lord in your case is exalted ,powerful and benefically

disposed toward your ascendant.

The reason for my arguement that Jupiter's conjucnction with Ketu will

render him weak was not based on the reason that Ketu is a malefic as much

as it was based on the principle that Ketu (and Rahu for that matter) are

most capable of absorbing the good qualities of the planets they are

conjunct with and providing those results in their dasa (Ketu &Rahu's)

thereby rendering the planets less potent. But the proof is in the

pudding...This principle too seems to be superceded with other variables, in

your case .

Cant agree more with your statement that your chart is one tough cookie .

Will keep looking into it and hopefully we all will be better off in the end

as far as understanding planets are concerned

Warm Regards,

Suresh

Dear Suresh ji,

Consider natal planets as workers in the field, and the nakshatra

occupied by natal planets as the quality of sand. If the quality of

sand (nakshatra) is good the workers (natal planets) will do well.

We should alsways consider the nakshatra and the navamsha occupied by

natal planets to make judgement about natal planets.

People when they enter jupiter mahadasha assume that the period is

going to be good. But I have seem people going to prison also in

jupiter mahadasha if natal jupiter is placed in evil nakshatra.

While people going though saturn mahadasha may be doing very well if

saturn rules good houses and is placed in good nakshatra.

We should also consider nakshatras for transiting planets. In year

1999 and 2000 I did very well in my career. Everytime I made a

change, I got promotions and raises. I consulted some astrologers and

they were not able to tell why it is happening. But when I started

using nakshatras then I came to know that Jupiter and Mars were

transiting my 10th nakshatra (karma), and it gave me career success.

In my case Jupiter Ketu conjunction is not bad as they both are

placed in good nakshatra. Rahu is placed in mercury's nakshatra in

8th house from natal moon. Mercury is a badhaka and maraka planet for

my chart. So rahu is bad, but still it is very closed aspected by

benefic jupiter from 11th house.

So jupiter, ketu, and mercury are best planets in my chart. Saturn is

weak in navamsa, and mars is not placed in good nakshatra.

I will go through good time in Jupiter/Mercury, Jupiter/ketu, Jupiter

Mars and Jupiter/Venus

Jupiter/sun, Jupiter/Saturn may not be good

What are the classics you follow...Also can you please name some astrology books

where we can find the reading based on nakshatras...

Dear Sharma ji,

I agree with you. I have been told by so many astrologers that I

should thank god that they are in 11th house not in 6th, 8th or 12th

house. I applied rasi dasas also to study my chart to see when the

Raj yoga will fruitify. From Feb 2009 to Feb 2012 I will be in

scorpio and then from feb 2012 to feb 2022 in aries dasha. The lord

of scorpio and aries Mars is exalted. That will be the peak period of

my life.

Could you please forward me KN Rao's analysis ffrom his book? I look

forward to your thoughts.

One thing I would like to mention that I have 5 planets so close to

each other from degree 20 to 26 in capricorn. When jupiter aspects

these degrees I get unexpected success, and my desires are fulfilled.

When saturn aspects those degrees I go through terrible time.

Regards

G. Singh

Dear Sunil ji,

I studied astrology with many astrologers. I learnt techniques from

different astrologers and how they make predictions. Every astrologer

is different, sometimes focuses on different techniques. I will do my

chart reading with them, and they will send me my taped reading.

During my reading I would ask questions, how they came to a

particular prediction. That's how I improved my astrology skills.

Then I started studying people's chart if something good or bad

happens in their lives.

I feel you can learn astrology quickly by going after practical

experience, rather than just focusing on bookish knowledge.

These days there is tons of knowledge available over the internet.

Regards

G. Singh

Dear Gurmeetji,

Nice to hear from you again. I now remember you from a

different board where you used to dispense help a few years ago.

You had shared your chart when we were discussing Amitabh Bacchans

lumped planets in 8th house.

I am happy that some of my predictions were somewhere

near, regarding the ex-millionare, but I underestimated your jyotish

skills because of lack of planets in the 8th.

If I recollect the last I heard from you was that you were going to

begin a new venture and I was wondering how it all turned out?

You bring about the Nakshatra angle into the discussion.

>From what I know, Nakshatra analysis is one of the main pillars of

jyotish. However we sometimes get caught in rasi, bhava, varga, ....

and we dont end up with due diligence on the Nakshatra.

Regards

Its really nice knowling your analysis techiniques using nakshatras.Actually my

mails to you are on the account of nakshatras..Well i came to know that its

very important to consider nakshatras for the analysis which i was not aware

till i see your postings.

I use to consider only the placement of the planets and the bhavas they

represent.I feel this way of reading a chart is indepth analysis..which will

give a clear picture and not vague.

If Jupiter® whose Nakshatra is satabisha and the lord of the satabisha Raahu

is debilated in Navamsa....comment about the Mahardasa of Jupiter which is

strongly placed in D-1(10L) and D-9.

Further pls share your knowledge or any links regarding the

nakshatras.(techniques)..I am trying them on net & got the info,...still..look

forward.

Thanks & Regards,

Dear Sunil ji,I studied astrology with many astrologers. I learnt techniques

from different astrologers and how they make predictions. Every astrologer is

different, sometimes focuses on different techniques. I will do my chart

reading with them, and they will send me my taped reading. During my reading I

would ask questions, how they came to a particular prediction. That's how I

improved my astrology skills. Then I started studying people's chart if

something good or bad happens in their lives. I feel you can learn astrology

quickly by going after practical experience, rather than just focusing on

bookish knowledge. These days there is tons of knowledge available over the

internet.RegardsG. Singhvedic astrology, sunilkumar

Sir, I really found your method of reading chart very interesting. It would

be very kind of you Sir, if you could give details of different Nakshatra's

(as you said that the 22nd Nakshatra represents destruction).

Your advise and guidence will help us (junior astrologers) alot.

[vedic astrology] Re: Question on Nakshatras

Regards

G. Singh

Dear Sunil ji,

Thank you very much for your comments. I learnt astrology from

many astrology gurus like Chakrapani Ullal, Shakuntala Devi, and many

others. Very few astrologers use Nakshatras to make predictions. Most

of the time they use houses, dashas, and transits only.

You may see sometimes a person with Jupiter exalted in cancer

struggling in jupiter mahadasha if jupiter is deblitated in navamsa

and is placed in evil nakshatra.

On the other hand a person with deblitated jupiter in capricorn may

be doing very well in jupiter mahadasha if jupiter is strong in

navamsa and is placed in a good nakshatra.

You can find many books on nakshatras but they don't tell you how to

use nakshatras. I learnt these techniques from Chakrapani Ullal.

Best Regards

Gurmeet

Dear Predictiveinc ji,

Thanks for your comments. I remember amitabh bacchan's chart. He has

4 planets in 8th house from lagna and 12th house fron natal moon.

While making predictions I see the following:

1. Is this planet under question rules good houses for that chart.

2. Is this planet strong in navamsa.

3. Is this planet placed in a good nakshatra

A planet could be deblitated in the birth chart but if it fulfills

the above three conditions then I will still consider it strong.

Regards

G. Singh

Dear Mr Singh,

Thanks for elaborating on the importance of nakshatras. The bottom line of

the dialogue is that there are situations where the lords of the

constellation in which the planet is posited, exercises considerable

influence in the general behaviour of these planets.

I attempted a practical application of this principle in a few charts and

came back with mixed results. While in certain charts the correlation

between the expected behaviour of constellation lords and actual experience

of the native was high , that was not the case in all the charts.

>From your experience, are you aware of additional variables if any, that may

further decide when a planet is greatly influenced by the constellation

lords and when it is not.

Regards,

Suresh

Dear Suresh ji,

This is the biggest challenge in astrology, to know which natal

planet in the chart will deliver good or bad results. You can become

more proficient by gaining practical experience, than reading books.

When people see my chart they think Mars will make me rich. But Mars

mahadasha was good but didn't give me money because natal mars is in

the nakshatra of the the 6th house lord sun.

People think I have debilitated jupiter, but jupiter is the best

planet in my chart because it is posted in the dhanishta nakshatra

ruled by 2nd and 9th house lord mars. Also jupiter is strong in

navamsa placed in the 9th house in navamsa kundli.

Regards

G. Singh

>3. Is this planet placed in a good nakshatra

Regarding the above statement can you give some rules or dictums about the good

nakshatras for each planet.

Also the nakshatra lord Placement has to be considered in raasi chart alone or

navamsa placement also...??

what if the concerned nakshatra lord is debilated in navamsa...?

Pls convey..the above it will make the picture clear..

Thanks and Regards

Planets that are deblitated in navamsa chart are bad,

and if they are deblitated in birth chart and navamsa chart then they

are very bad

and if they are deblitated in birth chart and navamsa chart and they

are in evil nakshatra then they are terrible

I will say a planet is in good nakshatra if this planet is posted in

the nakshatra of a rajyog karaka planet for that chart and the

rajyoga planet is strong or exalted in the chart.

om çré räghavendra gurubhyo namaù

Dear G.Singh Ji,

I had gone through your chart and the success in Jyotish is because 2nd ( Vaak

Sthana ) and 9th ( Bhaghya Sthana ) lord Kuja exalted in 11th and is in

Uttarashada -4th Pada which is none other than Abhijit Nakshatra. So if you

start meditating on Lord Brahma,I am sure you will be a different person than

all of us.Such a power is there in your chart. The presiding Deity of Abhijit

Nakshatra is Lord Brahma and Kuja, the lord of Vaak Sthana in such a auspicious

Nakshatra, you can attain highest spiritual Knowledge and added to that Guru

Dasha also has started in your life. But Guru has lost in Graha Yuddha with

Budha who is Retro.Ketu is also very near to Guru and this indicates you are

born in the same family who did some serious meditation 2-3 generations

before. As Budha is Retro and has won the war with Lagna and 10th lord

Guru, eventhough you are married with a rich lady, that married life did not

survive.Everybody forgets Rahu's role.See Rahu is in 5th in

Karka Rashi in Ashlesha nakshatra which indicates you have Sarpa Shaapa from

your ancestor's generation and as a result you did not get happiness from the

married life,children etc.

Now coming to Kuja's Nakshatra lord Surya himself is there in Makara in Sravana

nakshatra ruled by Chandra who is 5th lord which indicates Poorva Punya,Devatha

Upasana etc.So by doing Upasana of your Ishta Devatha, you can attain highest

knowledge. All this money, luxurious life etc. is nothing in front of Spiritual

Knowldge and once your Kundalini is energised, you forget all these luxuries in

this world.

Also in Navamsha chart, I found that there is some Kriya Karmas were not done

before 2-3 generations and so Preta Shaapa can also be seen in the chart. So 1st

perform Narayana Bali followed by Tila Havan and then perform Sarpa Samskara

followed by Pavamana Suktha Sahita Kalashabhishek to Naag Idol and Ashlesha

Bali Pooja with Havan.

At the moment,Guru in transit in Kanya Rashi is not strong as 1) he is in his

enemic house,2) he is with Ketu.So you are experiencing difficulties in your

Karma.Lagna is being transitted by Rahu. When Guru transits the longitude of

your Natal Guru, you will be able to get a Guru who can guide you yo get highest

knowledge. When Guru transits over Tula, you will not be in news to anybody

eventhough he is in 11th from your Natal Chandra. The reason is he will be

transitting his enemy's Moola Trikona Sthana. When transit Guru comes to Makara

Rashi, you will cut all the relation with this Maaya world and will be in the

process of getting Kundalini.

I hope this helps you.

regarding the ex-millionare, but I underestimated your jyotish skills because

of lack of planets in the 8th.If I recollect the last I heard from you was that

you were going to begin a new venture and I was wondering how it all turned

out?You bring about the Nakshatra angle into the discussion. From what I know,

Nakshatra analysis is one of the main pillars of jyotish. However we sometimes

Dear Ramadas Rao ji

Thank you very much for your analysis. But I respectfully disagree

with you on one issue.

Many astrloger mentioned to me when I was a young child that either I

will be very spiritual or very materialistic in life.

I am not a spiritual person at all although I do have interest in

learning vedic astrology. I am a very materialistic and worldly type

of person. Someone who likes luxuries, women, nice cars, nice clothes

etc.

At present I am going through a very difficult time as transit

Jupiter is with transit ketu. Also transit saturn from cancer is

aspecting natal mars which is a very bad transit. I will complete

Jup/Jup/Saturn period on August 13th, and then I will enter

Jupiter/Jupiter/Mercury which will be better. This month will be

difficult for me. My time should improve when transit jupiter goes to

25 degrees in virgo and it will aspect natal jupiter in capricorn.

Could you please let me know when I will get a good job. My guess is

> I had gone through your chart and the success in Jyotish is because

2nd ( Vaak Sthana ) and 9th ( Bhaghya Sthana ) lord Kuja exalted in

11th and is in Uttarashada -4th Pada which is none other than Abhijit

Nakshatra. So if you start meditating on Lord Brahma,I am sure you

will be a different person than all of us.Such a power is there in

your chart. The presiding Deity of Abhijit Nakshatra is Lord Brahma

and Kuja, the lord of Vaak Sthana in such a auspicious Nakshatra, you

can attain highest spiritual Knowledge and added to that Guru Dasha

also has started in your life. But Guru has lost in Graha Yuddha with

Budha who is Retro.Ketu is also very near to Guru and this indicates

you are born in the same family who did some serious meditation 2-3

generations before. As Budha is Retro and has won the war with Lagna

and 10th lord Guru, eventhough you are married with a rich lady, that

married life did not survive.Everybody forgets Rahu's role.See Rahu

is in 5th in Karka Rashi in Ashlesha

> nakshatra which indicates you have Sarpa Shaapa from your

ancestor's generation and as a result you did not get happiness from

the married life,children etc.

> Now coming to Kuja's Nakshatra lord Surya himself is there in

Makara in Sravana nakshatra ruled by Chandra who is 5th lord which

indicates Poorva Punya,Devatha Upasana etc.So by doing Upasana of

your Ishta Devatha, you can attain highest knowledge. All this

money, luxurious life etc. is nothing in front of Spiritual Knowldge

and once your Kundalini is energised, you forget all these luxuries

in this world.

> Also in Navamsha chart, I found that there is some Kriya Karmas

were not done before 2-3 generations and so Preta Shaapa can also be

seen in the chart. So 1st perform Narayana Bali followed by Tila Havan

and then perform Sarpa Samskara followed by Pavamana Suktha Sahita

Kalashabhishek to Naag Idol and Ashlesha Bali Pooja with Havan.

> At the moment,Guru in transit in Kanya Rashi is not strong as 1) he

is in his enemic house,2) he is with Ketu.So you are experiencing

difficulties in your Karma.Lagna is being transitted by Rahu. When

Guru transits the longitude of your Natal Guru, you will be able to

get a Guru who can guide you yo get highest knowledge. When Guru

transits over Tula, you will not be in news to anybody eventhough he

is in 11th from your Natal Chandra. The reason is he will be

transitting his enemy's Moola Trikona Sthana. When transit Guru comes

to Makara Rashi, you will cut all the relation with this Maaya world

and will be in the process of getting Kundalini.
