Atma Linga has 3 aspects to it. There are actually three Lingas within each person. There is a Swayambhoo Linga associated with Brahma in Mooladhara chakra. There is a Bana Linga associated with Vishnu in Anahata chakra. There is an Itara Linga associated with Shiva in Ajna chakra. All these three Lingas together constitute the Atma Linga. IMHO, lagna lord shows Swayambhoo linga. Chara atma karaka shows Bana linga. Sun shows Itara linga. They all together show the cumulative Atma Linga. Just my 2 cents of opinion...
