In Maharastra, Gujerath, and North India, Mangal Dosha is considered on FROM

LAGNA, and not from Moon or Venus.

 

The exceptions to the rule are given below:

 

MANGALA DOSHA RULESIF MARS IN 1,2,4,7,8,12 from Lagna,Moon, or Venus then thisis

said to cause Mars,Dosha. But there are many exceptionsNOTE If Mars in these and

in stars DHANISTA,MOOLA,JYESTA,VISHAKHAMAGHA,ASLESHA,AARDRA,KRITTIKA,BHARANI,ALL

POORVAS VERY BADSTAR LORDS: KETU(execpt in 1),VEN,SUN in 1,2MARS IN 10,11:RAHU

in 3:JUP except in 3/4MERC except in 12 rasi

EXCEPTIONS

1. IF Mars in his own signs NO DOSHA2. Mars has NO DOSHA if in houses of

SUN,MOON,SAT i.e. 4,5,10,11 rasis3. Mars in 4th or 7th NO DOSHA if in VENUS

signs, i.e. 2,74. Mars in 2nd NO DOSHA if in Mercury signs, 3 and 65. Mars in

8th /12 No DOSHA IF IN SIGNS OF JUP. 9,12TRADITIONAL EXCEPTIONS1. If JUP or VEN

strong and in 1st or 7 th NO Dosha2. Mars Retro No Dosha,Weak or in enmies house

No Dosha3. If STRONG SAT IN 1,4,7,8,12 NO DOSHA

IF BOTH BRIDE, AND GROOM HAVE THE DOSHA -O.K. IF MANGALA in 7th, if

other has Shani in 7th or 7th is aspected by Shani then also acceptable

If gunas are 25 or more this dosha is nullified. If Mangala in 12th and in

this is Dhanu Rasi If Mangala is fully aspeted by Shubha Grahas If Strong

Guru or Shukra in lagna or 7th4. Mars in 1st NO DOSHA IF IN MESHA : Mars in 4th

NO DOSHA If in Vris. Mars in 7th No DOSHA if in MEENA : Mars in 8th NO DOSHA

if in KUMBHA Mars in 12th NO DOSHA if in DHANU

Dear Sridhar Ji,

Why in North India and some other parts of India, Kuja Dosha is considered from

Lagna only ? That Chandra and Shukra does not play in marital life ? Am I wrong

then ? What about Muhurta books like Muhurta Madhaveeyam etc.? Is the author of

such ancient books wrong ? I know what are the exceptions for Kuja Dosha.But as

per me we have to look Kuja Dosha from all the 3 ie., From Lagna, Chandra and

Shukra.
