Dear Devika:

 

The easiest way of telling whether this or any Astrological configuration, is

positive or acting malefically, is to see if 'you' have any of the symptoms of

that.

 

For Mars in the 12th, if it's acting positively, one has not many debts, and if

it's acting negatively, one tends to spend more then one makes.

 

Also, savings tends to be hard for people with negative Mars' in the 12th.

 

Of course other configurations need to be looked at too.

 

But, that's the general gist.

Dear Mark,

Sorry for delay in responding to your email. I am looking for a website

that clearly stated that Mars in 12th house for Aries ascendant is a blessing

and that is the only time when Mars is good in 12th house. The reason I

remember this is because I have a chart with Aries lagna and Mars in 12th.

 

Once I find that link, I will email it to you.

I can't quite think of the context in which the first house lord, being in the

12th house, would

be a blessing. Only time when it would be maybe, okay, is if there's an

Aquarius rising, and Saturn lord of the first, would at least be in it's Own

Sign, in Capricorn.

 

In most other cases, Lord of the 1st in the 12th, represents a quality of self,

in the house of the loss.

 

And, specifically, Mars in the 12th represents a quality of too much

'expenditures' or losses.

 

Otherwise, what else did they say?
