Guest guest
Narasimha ji, Do we need to consider 28 Nakshatras while finding out the Karma Nakshatra or we should consider 27 Nakshatras? Which method will give more accurate predictions? In your book "Vedic Astrology: An Integrated Approach" in Part 3: Transit Analysis you have considered 27 Nakshatras. But in the Jagannath Hora software 28 Nakshatras are considered. Could you please clarify which method will give accurate predictions. I have transit Jupiter transiting 21st Nakshatra from the natal moon Nakshatra if I consider 27 Nakshatras. Transit Jupiter is in 22nd Nakshatra from the natal moon Nakshatra if I consider 28 nakshatras. Best Regards G. Singh

Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || Namaste G Singh, Balabhadra, In his Hora Ratnam, calls 28 Nakshatra as subtle division and 27 Nakshatra as gross division. He says 28 can be used for everything, and gross nakshatra is more apt to apply for humans. Guest guest
Dear Sanjay ji, Thank you very much for your response. Mr Narasimha Rao in his book "Vedic Astrology: An Integrated Approach" in Part 3: Transit Analysis mentioned that 22nd nakshatra is bad. So if I want to find out 22nd nakshatra in my astrology chart I get two different answers depending upon whether I consider 28 nakshatras or 27 nakshatras. My natal moon is in purva shada. I would appreciate if you could help me find 10th Nakshatra in my birth chart? Is it going to be Ashwini or Bharani? Which method will give accurate predictions, 28 Nakshatras or 27 Nakshatras? Guest guest
Dear Singh ji, I have studied this issue in detail about a couple of years back. My conclusion is that 28 star system must be used in finding special nakshatras for use in transits. Whether you are checking for vedhas on special nakshatras in Sarvatobhadra chakra or finding graha drishti of planets on special nakshatras or finding lattas of planets on special nakshatras, my sincere advice is: Stick to the 28 star system. I was quite convinced after my experiments. Hope that helps. Guest guest
Dear Narasimha ji, Thank you very much for the information. I agree with you. I used both 28 Nakshatras system and the 27 Nakshatra system to study my career in the past, and came to the conclusion that when Jupiter , and Mars were transiting the 10th nakshatra using the 28 nakshatra system I got promotions and big money. Last year Rahu was transiting the 10th Nakshatra and I was in Rahu Mahadasha, my employer was going to sue me. This happened in the last month of Rahu mahadasha. But the moment I entered Jupiter mahadasha the employer decided not to sue me. They changed their mind. I would appreciate if you could answer my question on 22nd nakshatra also. In your book "Vedic Astrology: An Integrated Approach" in Part 3: Transit Analysis you have mentioned that 22nd nakshatra represents one's destruction. I entered Jupiter mahadasha in Jan 2005 and at the same time jupiter entered 22nd nakshatra and it is there for last 6 months. These 6 months were not good. Jupiter did not help me because it is transiting 22nd nakshatra. What are your thoughts? Jupiter is a very good planet in my chart as it rules the lagna and the moon sign (10th house) and is well placed in 11th house with 6 other planets. Also how much you charge for vedic chart reading?
