Guest guest
Narasimha Rao garu, Namaste. Thank you for the word of caution to use all the principles judiciously, and as and when required only, with out ignoring any of them as every astrological aspect has been delivered to us by the great sages with a profound sense and meaning . Here you said: "If one uses judiciously a few parameters and time tested and researched techniques, most questions people have can be answered to a reasonable satisfaction." I agree. With your vast experience, you would have figured out all the time tested researched parameters and techniques by now. I was wondering if i can request you to list those parameters for us without going into theories in a bullet format , as theories can be cumbersome, and can be referred through texts and other means. Probably a person who studies astrology for 'n' number of years will be able to figure out these bullet point steps ultimately, but you sharing those parameters for astrologers still struggling to learn , will help us get a quick grasp on the subject, and build our confidence level quickly. Initially, this will help us to know and master those basic parameters first, and be thorough with them all. But that does not mean we will ignore other principles as you rightfully said " To me, Parasara is the greatest water mark. He did not use even say a single word without purpose. If necessary, I'd spend several lives trying to understanding him, because I really think it is worth it" I absolutely agree with this. By giving some examples in general terms like the one example you gave is of twins, if you can kindly further enlighten us with, what areas of prediction require or rather when is it appropriate or needed to verify, cross check with these additional parameters like divisional charts, arudha padas, argalas, chara karakas, rasi drishti, conditional nakshatra dasas and rasi dasas etc. This will be really like providing knowledge in a nutshell gained from your experience and understanding and research over a period of time, and probably many books may not have even discussed the relative importance, and possibly many people may not be willing to share alos as it may be difficult to put together, or for whatever other reasons. Since you are thorough with Maharshi Parasara and Maharshi Jaimini sutras , and have the ability to look at things very objectively with a broader understanding, I feel your feed back will be very very useful to us and appreciated by us, and will be guiding us in the long run, (for all those people visiting the site) by knowing the relative importance of various parameters and when to use what etc.. I am hoping and requesting that you share with us this valuable knowledge i. e if you are comfortable doing so. I am also hoping when it is presented to us, there would not be any further debates from people, as to why this is necessary, or not necessary, because what you are sharing is your experience only, and those of us who accept it, can take it- and those of us who do not accept it are also welcome to not follow it , it is as simple as that. I mentioned this with a view to avoid unnecessary debates which can deter people from sharing their knowledge sometimes. As people are at different levels on this site, it possibly can happen, but if that happens, and if I inadvertently lead you to that ,I would like to apologize to you in advance. But I also know , you have the ability to logically explain any questions that arise with your powerful understanding of the subject. I am also not sure though, whether I can ask you for this briefing on these parameters for learning or not, but if my request fits with in your parameters of teaching and guidance , kindly honour it, if it does not fit, forgive my curiosity to learn. For ex. for astrological prediction : For ex. * 1st check this ......... * next check this ........ * next check this ........ * When there is a confusion or when it is not yielding right answers ( like the case of twins as you said ), you need further parameters to work with, llke the following factors can be used for further verification of these areas..... * check conditional nakshatra dasa for only verifying this or * check rasi dristi,or charakarakas, for only verifying this or * etc etc The above points may be there somewhere in text books , and you have to derive them at times, but I have not seen in an concise format as bullet points, to improve acccuracy. For those of you who are very experienced, this knowlege is embedded in your learning, and is on your finger tips, and you refer and draw particular information on the need basis while you are predicting. But beginners have to wade through the tons of information to arrive at this.I hope you understand what I am saying. This is sort of concise guide to determine when to use what , so that we can dwelve into that part, only if required and not confuse oneself with tons of info.that is available covering various aspects. Then our prediction accuracy increases . This may sound rudimentary for those very expert astrologers, but for the beginners and intermediate students ,this logically presented bullets points will be very useful. With lots of regard and respect to your contributions to this Vedic astrology group . With regards Aruna
Guest guest
Sowbhagyawati.Aruna, I appreciate your services for collecting; preserving and publishing Mr.PVR’S letters. I too have a similar collection of letters of Revered Shree Vivekananda (Published by Shree Ramakrishna Mission in 10 vol.).Generally such letters with back-up and context are of meaningful treasure houses, for readers of the respective disciplines. With regards, D.SathiyanarayanaGupta. --- ast77us <ast77us wrote: > Narasimha Rao garu, > Namaste.
