Without an example,it is very difficult for me to understand, that is why whenever I write anything, I take at least one example, as I know, there would be some people like me out there. I would request you to write to the list, so that every one will be benefited and please take your time and there is no hurry. Guest guest
Richa :- You have confused the 'Dasha Chhidra' with 'Chhidra Graha'. What you have explained in your message is about chhidra graha. but I am also Novice in this subject & pl. correct me if i am wrong. Dasha Chhidra - is a very popular phenomenon in Vedic Jyotisha. by defination, it is a last part (Ultimate Antara) of a Concluding Mahadasha. For Example - If Shani 'Mahadasha' of 19 years ends with Guru 'Antara' Dasha. and after that Mercury Mahadasha will start. Hence the period of Guru Antara in Shani Maha Dasha is a 'Dasha chhidra' period. All most all astrologers agree that Dasha Chhidra period brings prominent & noteworthy changes in one's life especially when Longer Duration Mahadasha is ending. I have found it correct in my observations. the Dasha chhidra period is a period of Compromises in various fields, one undergoes chagnes in Mental makeup, career and other fronts . I think that it is the period which sets the tempo of the coming mahadasha period and hence bring changes in person's life which is visible. but the period generally proves negative and brings uncomfortable situations. I will give 2 example here 1) Swami Chandrashekhar Sarswati Swamigal (Shankaracharya) is have terrible time and he facing the situation which is not imaginable. The events started for him in Dasha Chhidra of Mercury/Saturn and hi is still in that period. 2) My own Rahu Mahadasha was completed in Nov 2004 and I had gone thro' the extreme trying situations during the Dasha Chhidra of Rahu/Mars. ABOUT ACTUAL SPAN OF DASHA CHHIDRA--- There can be only speculation on it. Though Dasha chhidra is said to be last Antara of a Mahadasha, it's effects seems to be lasting for some time in the coming Mahadasha also and it is natural too. becuse the Momentuam set in the Ultimate Antara of previous mahadasha will naturally last for some time in the Next Mahadasha as well. The above statements can again be judge with the example of Swami 'Shankaracharya'. The situations he is facing and the mental changes he'll be experiencing at the moment will surely continue in coming Ketu Mahadasha. and i am sure that in Ketu Mahadasha he will become a completely detached suol aspiring only for final emanicipation. Even for me The Upheavels and drastic changes in My career and life in general which i have undergone is still continueing in Guru's period. hence the above examples are farely indicates that the aftermath of Chhidra period remains for some time in next Mahadasha as well. Now , I have recently come across a view from my one of the respected friends in Mumbai for judging the actaul Chhidra Dasha period. It is defined like this - 1) Take the Despositor of LAST ANTARDASHA NATH in Rashi Chart 2)Take the Despositor of NEXT MAHADASHA Nath in Navamansha. -- The Dasha Chhidra STARTS from PRATYANTARA OF THE PLANET arrived in no.1 above in the CONCLUDING MAHADASHA -- The Dasha Chhidra ENDS at First coming PRATYANTARA OF THE PLANET arrived in no.2 above in COMING MAHADASHA. That seems little complicated. I would give My example to explain that-- RAHU/MARS is a Chhidra Perioid, Next Mahadasha is of Guru 1) Despositor of Mars in my Rashi chart is Mercury 2) Despositor of Guru in my Navamansha is Sun. Hence I may experience effects of Dasha Chhidra from Rahu/Mars/Mercury to Guru/Guru/Sun. i hope i could clearly explain the above view point. The said view point needs to be tested further. here one more thing needs to be stated is that Shri K.N.Rao, in one of his article tried to conclude with examples that The Hint of results stored in coming amahadasha can be some time experienced in the Penultimate Antara of Previous Mahadasha. What he meant in that Article can be explained thus - The Rahu/Moon period instead of Rahu/Mars, can some time trigger the Dasha Chhidra or give the hint of Coming Mahadasha. Another view point is also there which checks Transition from Malefic planet to Benefic planet when Maha Dasha changes from one to another and judge the results based on that.but frankly i don't understand that.
