Respected Guruji's and Learned Members,

 

I just began to learn astrology. Can anybody please answer the

following questions?

 

1. How powerful is astrology? i.e, is it possible to predict small

things like the dress color the native will be wearing on a given date

and time.

 

2. Why does sometimes even famous astrologers make mistakes in

their predictions?

Dear Shiva,

Understand that one of the basis of jyotish is Law of Karma.

The fruits of your karma is sure to accrue. It's time which

fruictifies of all karma. By understanding time one can know when one's

karma will fructify. If in the past the person has committed a crime or

a good deed it's sure to accrue. This if for sure and It's very

predictable if you understand Time (Kaal) i.e if Mahakaala shows his

grace.

Other foundations of jyotish is that of understanding of Atma and

paramatama called Jeevatma and Paramaatma. The atma does not die and

till the time it has attachment and ignorance it's bound by fruits of

karma. The future is determined by Law of Atma that it always seeks

Parmaatma. There exists a divine plan, which only a Trikaala (3

Times;past,present and future) Gyaani knows.

Read First few chapters of Brihat parasara Hora shaste for these basics.

Dear Shiva,

 

In my opinion grahas are playing a mojor role in the actions

we do in day to day life.Whether it is choosing a cloth or deciding

to buy a car etc..Everything is because of influence of grahas.

 

In top level,grahas may make us to have some

desires/taste.Eg.To be fond of a particular color or dress etc.This

we think as Free Will.But in my opinion it is grahas again which make

us to choose a particular color or to do particular action.Reaction

to this action becomes our destiny or karma pala.In my

opinion,predicting these types of influences of grahas is not so easy.

 

In lower level grahas are infuencing us by seeing our past

karmas.This is our destiny.Grahas bless & punish us for our good and

bad karmas respectively.These influence of grahas shall be easily

predicted as it deals with past karmas.

 

Regarding your second question,It is in the hands of Sri

Krishna.He needs to decide through whom he wants to convey the

message to people.Some times he chooses many and sometimes he chooses

none.Who knows his formula ? But i beleive that any astrologer who

does his mantras regularly,who has his true respect to his guru and

who pray his ista devata regularly will surely attract Sri Krishna.

 

I have written my opinion.Am sure that gurus will correct me

if i said anything wrong.
