Apart from 12th, 7th house also indicates foreign travel and residence as well. 7th house is 4th from 4th i.e. the natural pada of 4th house. Jyotish classics have given more weightage to 7th and 12th house for distant voyage rather 9th house. Sage Parasara also mentioned that lagnesh in yuvati bhava (7th house) gives wandering. I beg to disagree that lagnesh in 7th fear longevity. Placement of langesh in Kendara is more powerful than any other bhava (even more stonger than trine). It enhances the strength of the chart and longevity as well. In 7th, lord of lagna fully aspects the lagna and hence amplify the good qualities of langna, provided its dispositor is placed well in chart. As per Suka Nadi, if lagna is fixed sign (Ta,Le,Sc,Aq) and lagna lord in 7th (or any other kendara) then the native will lead major part of his life in his native place. If lagna is dual sign (Ge,Vi,Sg,Pi) then native is of restless nature, field work (salesman ship, ambassador-ship etc) is suited to him. If lord of lagna is natural benefic and placed in 7th, then person rises after marriage. Native may bestow agreeable, chaste and intillegent spouse, provided there is no malefic aspect/association. He gets opportunity of business associations and foreign contacts. If lord of langa is natural melefic and placed in 7th, then his spouse die prior to him, whether early of late. The ayu of spouse (or partnership) is not solely hinged upon this placement. Generally such people are obstinate, independant, and may get involve in politics. Lord of langna in 7th should be associated or aspected by yoga karaka or other benefic trinal lord. Otherwise they they remain aimless and not stick to one work and place.
