Guest guest
Namaskaar All Jupiter does not increase the Licentious nature of Sexual Matters. Jupiter facilitates or removes obstacles to a particular desire especially if Mars is involved. Mars and Venus cause the sexual desires to overflow. Mars turns to passion especially when it is connected with Venus. Mars puts energy behind Love and wants to act. The act itself is of procreation. For the act, a suitable environment is needed. Jupiter can create that environment if placed well. The 12th house placement shows environment and not the actual act. The analysis should not end in here. Furthermore, Jupiter being the natural karaka for husband, it should protect the marriage. But what if, the girl thinks of the 2nd man as closer to husband material (in case of girl). This can happen with vipreet buddhi. Affliction to Moon and Mercury can cause this. Misplaced emotions and analysis. Jupiter in the 12th house also shows the house of giving. It may sacrifice the body for the pleasure of the other one. This ofcourse has to be related to other possible combinations. I think such a subject should be related in depth and not in a single or two combinations. Puranic stories are full of metaphors. I am not saying that the stories are unreal. They may be a real in a different space or a different loka. As astrologers, we know that Jupiter shows the wisdom and intelligence in a person. He shows the dhee of a person. What does Mamata show? Mamata means ego-centricism, selfishness etc (mama-ta=mine-ness). No wonder, Mamata is not Brihaspati's wife. Brihaspati's wife is Tara. By the meaning of name, Tara stands for a radiant and brilliant protecting force that carries across. Such a force is the right companion to wisdom. While male element shows the existential potentiality, female element shows the engulfing energy and the actual manifestation. Utathya could mean certainty or confidence that comes with great learning. That confidence is born before wisdom (elder brother). When such great confidence combines with ego-centricism, excellent knowledge is born which is also blind forever. No wonder, Utathya and Mamata had a child named Dirgha Tamas (long darkness), who was very learned but blind. > > Anyway, coming back to the main story, ego-centricism and selfishness are not the correct companion to wisdom. But, if wisdom finds selfishness attractive and combines with it once, it is not bad after all. Without some selfishness, a lot of abilities of wisdom go wasted in a sense!
