Guest guest
Dear and Respected Sanjay-Ji, sir, Regarding your general advise that, the student of Jyotish should also benefit from spiritual practices e.g. meditation and prayers during the course of learning; In case you have time, could you kindly enlighten us on the methods that were used for teaching Jyotish in former times like 2-3 generations back. E.g. when a disciple was selected to learn Jyotish in a traditional Pandit family, would he be instructed to memorize some schlokas, or were he initiated into some special mantras, or would he take Jyotish lessons from elders in the family, apart from general spiritual practices. On this matter I personally have notes only from Respected B.V.Raman. Also would you have any specific advises regarding the matter for the modern student? E.g. anything specific to deepen Jyotish Siddhi, in addition to general spiritual practices? Many thanks for your precious guidance, Respectfully, Sabri.
