Guest guest
Dear all, A conjunction of an inner planet (venus, mercury) with sun astronomically represents one of the two following possibilities: a.) planet is between Sun and earth on the same line; in other words, sun is partially eclipsed by the planet. b.) Sun is between earth and planet on the same line; in other words, planet is eclipsed by the sun Both of these cases are represented exactly the same way in a rasi chart (e.g su,ve together or me,su together) and the associate planet is said to be "combusted" by sun. Q#1: Based on the relative position of sun and the planet, Is vedic jyotisha have a different interpretation for each of these physical occurrences? A religious historical event is associated with the story of shri Parasu-ram (venus) and shri Ram (sun), to describe the effect of combustion. Q#2 Is it logical to associate "case a" with the part of the story where shri parsuram tried his might on shri ram but to no avail, and then later he surrenders to shri rams power "case b" ? If this is true, what astrological inferences could be made out of this? Q#3: Mercury also has above mentioned two cases. Is there a religious historical event associated with it? Q#4: Its been said that when a planet is in combust, its result is given by sun. What I inferred from it is that the result of the dasa of the planet will not fructify but will fructify in dasa of sun? Is that correct? How will the results be different for the two cases? All learned members are welcome to explain their views. Regards and thanks in advance! Utpal
