Rasi Vs Navamsa

Dear members,

 

I am interested in knowing the relative importance of rasi and

navamsa charts and which chart should be used to do any predictions

when they are very different from each other.

 

I understand that-

1.) Navamsa is primarily used to determine relationships.

2.) There is also this view that navamsa is what you become.

3.) There is this third view that navamsa determines whether the

yogas in the rasi chart will be realized or not.

 

Now, overall if the planets are in a average/bad position in the rasi

chart but in a good position in the navamsa chart, then what would it

mean. I am sure it should not be as simple as the argument that it

means life starts off bad but will improve with time (because navamsa

is what you become).

 

I know there are a couple of good articles on navamsa on the internet

(some that would be presented in the Serbia conference) but still I

would want to know if one of the charts dominates over the other.

 

I would be more interested in general comments (without examples) but

if an example helps then I think my planets are strong and welll

placed in navamsa and average in rasi.
