Guest guest
Dear Lakshmi, Kundalini Shakti is the energy within one that enables to one to overcome the maya imposed on one's existence. Each soul has a little of the Supreme Being in it, but is wrapped in the maya and forced to lead a bound and limited existence within that maya. Kundalini shakti can remove the limitations and enable one to overcome the maya. Kundalini shakti can be awakened through various paths. Bhakti yoga is certainly one of them. If you surrender yourself to one of the Dasa Maha Vidyas, Kundalini shakti can wake up and manifest to you as the goddess you worshipped. Some people use more rajasik methods to forcefully wake up Kundalini. Whichever path you follow to wake up Kundalini, Kundalini is basically an intense spiritual energy that is inherently present in each being in a suppressed state. Of course, the intense spiritual energy can be tapped and misused for non-spiritual purposes also. But that will be terrible karma. Kundalini jagarana happens because of sadhana from many lives. If one misuses it, sadhana of so many lives is abused. That is terrible karma. Kundalini awakening is not a goal or an end by itself, but the beginning of a new phase in one's spiritual journey. If one views it as an end goal of one's spiritual journey, it is unfortunate. Guest guest
Respected Narsimhaji, After experimenting with various spiritual practices which I could never pursue very seriously, about 2 yrs back I met with the Guru with whom I thought I could stay. He has given inititiation in some practices which I am pursuing. Of course, one of the mottos is - do not have any expectations. I wasn't even aware to begin with that this had anything to do with kundalini awakening. But later on as I read some stuff and also watched people who have progressed in these practices, I noticed that it is all about raising energy levels. About a year ago, I also experienced spurt in energy level when my sleep requirements reduced drastically. But things are back to "normal" again. Of course, I would like to believe that some "irreversible changes" have occured at a more subtle level - one of them being that from a primarily Saturnian person I feel more like a Mercury person. I am definitely more joyous now than I was when I started the practices. Whatever it is I take it as the first few tentative steps on a long journey..... Could there be astrological reasons for these changes, is the question that I would like to pose to you and on this forum. If so, could you please elaborate? My wish and my desire is that whatever this is it should deepen in intensity....Do you see this happening in the future? Of course, my guru would say that everything depends on us - how intensely we want the "inner freedom" will shape what will ultimately happen to us. But still the temptation is strong to find out astrological reasons for such things... I shall look forward to your response!
