Guest guest
Dear members, I would be very grateful if you can tell me the effect of the following combination (in my chart) on my career prospects currently: Effect of sun mahadasha and mercury antardasha in my chart with sun- mercury conjunct in the 12th house. I understand that sun is not a good planet for me, it being in the 12th house and the lord of 8th house. What I dont know and would like to know is: 1.) IS the sun-mercury combination (dasha and antardasha) beneficial or would it worsen the effect. (Note that mercury is the lord of 9th house) 2.) Would the bad effect of sun be cancelled by the VRY from jupiter. Again, I would be exteremely grateful if the respected members analyze the above mentioned points in my chart. My details are: Place of Birth: Dehradun Date of Birth: Dec 20, 1977 Time of birth: 10:20 am Thank you Avin
Guest guest
Dear Shri.Avin, Sun and Mercury are functional benefics for Capricorn Lagna .Functional benefics in the 12th house deliver good results during their dasaa / bukthi . Guest guest
Dear Avin, Every dasha/antar yields two types of result; viz. general and specific. The general results realize as per planets natural behaviour. While specific result hinges upon their functional lordship and sambandha they make with other grahas. Parasara annoted both good and bad effects during Sun-Mer, depending upon good and bad placement and avastha. Vaidyanatha Dishita mentioned (JP XVIII-68) "trouble from relative, mental distress, depression of spirits, waste of money and nominal comfort in Sun-Mercury." Ramanujacharya hold that "when Sun and Mercury are associated then highly favourable result will be obtained during Mercury dasha while Sun mahadasa would be ordinary." (BR XII-13) But in your chart the situation is bit different. That is; Mercury is making rashi-parivartana with Jupiter. The 6th and 12th bhavas are involoved. On account of parivartana, Mercury is considered lord of 6th house only (and not the 9th lord) whereas Jupiter assumes lord of 12th only (not 3rd lord). The parivartana produces Vipreet Raja Yoga. Due to parivartana, Mercury produces result of Jupiter during its own dasha/bukhti. Here Sun does not spoils VRY as it owns 8th house and in 12th. Such yogas yield sudden rise and/or fall due to weaknesses of competitaors, downfall of enemies. Involvement of 6th-12th bhavas, Guru-Budha with Surya in dual rashis may favour sudden foreign opportunities (scholarship or intership), aimless wandering, gain of laon, unexpected financial support, indulgence in occult studies, meeting with forgetting associates and writing etc. October 2005 and January 2006 are important in this regard. The results may be intensified on account of vargottam Mercury and Jupiter. Another neglected concept should be borne in mind that luminaries (Sun and Moon) and lagnesh do not behave as functional malefic even when they own 8th or 12th houses. Apart from VRY bukhti, transitary effect is not favourable to you at present. Guru has been moved over natal Rahu in 6th from Moon, and transit Shani has just come into Caner (over natal Mars). These gochar will lead to new working environment. But no internal peace and home comfort. Parental relationship may further tease. Avin, have you noted that all the grahas in your horoscope are retrograde except yoga karaka Venus. When most of the planets are retrograde they indictes deep root karmic desires to fulfil uncompleted tasks of previous life (like nodes). Mohammad Bhai, I was always told that when lagnesh becomes vyesh (i.e if lagnesh falls in 12th house) it spoils all the power of horoscope. Your statement appears to be contradictory to this belief. Or perhaps I am missing something here? I have venus as lagnesh and it has fallen in 12th house; Not only I have always struggled with the issues related to lagnesh, but also I have to face lot of frustrations (failures) in all the issues related to Venus. Just in case if you want to have a look at my horoscope, my birth details are as follows: Date of birth: June 1, 1966 Time of Birth: 5.35 AM Place of Birth: Baraut (40 kms North of Delhi) Thanks Manoj --- Muhammad Imran <astroimran wrote: > Dear Avin, > > Every dasha/antar yields two types of result; viz. > general and specific. Guest guest
Dear Manoj, I think, you could not get my point. I wrote "...luminaries (Sun and Moon) and lagnesh do not behave as functional malefic even when they own 8th or 12th houses.." Please note, I mentioned ownership i.e. lordship NOT the occupation. Most of the Jyotish Classics expalined this exception. For Sagittarius or Leo lagna, Moon as 8th and 12th lord donot become functional malefic. For Aquarius lagna natives, Saturn is the lord of 1st as well 12th houses. But possible evil of 12th house is nullified by auspicious lordship of langa. In your chart, the 12th Venus is not sole responsible of difficulties related to tanu bhava and Shukra karakttavas. Please look that lagna is heavily influenced by malefics. And Venus is hemmed inbetween malefics as wel. Hope the reply may clearify the doubts. Experienced and learned member please correct me, where I am wrong. Guest guest
Thank you very much for such a wonderful analysis of the mercury-jupiter aspect of my chart. I have a few follow up questions. Kindly read through:""The parivartana produces Vipreet Raja Yoga. Due toparivartana, Mercury produces result of Jupiter duringits own dasha/bukhti. Here Sun does not spoils VRY asit owns 8th house and in 12th. Such yogas yield suddenrise and/or fall due to weaknesses of competitaors, downfall of enemies. Involvement of 6th-12th bhavas, Guru-Budha with Suryain dual rashis may favour sudden foreign opportunities(scholarship or intership), aimless wandering, gain oflaon, unexpected financial support, indulgence inoccult studies, meeting with forgetting associates andwriting etc. October 2005 and January 2006 areimportant in this regard. The results may beintensified on account of vargottam Mercury and Jupiter."""" I understand that Jan2006 may be important because of the sun-mercury-jupiter dasha. But why is oct 2005 important ??? Also I dont understand why you mentioned vargottam mercury and jupiter. Mercury or jupiter are not in the same sign in the rasi and navamsha charts. then how do tehy become vargottam?? Doesn't sun also form a VRY with jupiter ? If yes, then are there any major implications of that?? Another neglected concept should be borne in mind thatluminaries (Sun and Moon) and lagnesh do not behave asfunctional malefic even when they own 8th or 12thhouses. So does that mean that sun is not malefic because of the ownership of 8th house. however it is malefic because of its poor placement in the 12th house? Based on my analysis, sun is the most malefic planet in my chart. Would you like to comment on that? Another question about lagnesh, In my case the lagnesh is saturn and I wanted to know if it is basically a benefic or not. I understand that it is very badly placed (8th house, ruled by its enemy sun). But I was wondering that if saturn is benefic but weak, then I should wear Neelam (in combination with diamond, remember venus is yoga karka and AK) to have good effects. I wanted a second opinion on this as neelam is a very powerful stone. Can you please help me with this? Finally, in my experience so far, the venus dasha till 2001 was very good for me with no mental tensions at all and happy times in general. However the sun dasha from 2001-present has been totally opposite. Nothing seems to be working right for me professionally and mental peace evades me. I am just glad that it will be over in 2007. However, I am worried how the moon dasha will turn out. As far as I understand, moon is good in my chart and so I am assuming that its dasha will be beneficila too. Any comments?? """Avin, have you noted that all the grahas in yourhoroscope are retrograde except yoga karaka Venus. When most of the planets are retrograde they indictesdeep root karmic desires to fulfil uncompleted tasksof previous life (like nodes). """ Yes, that is also a burning question in my mind. What is the meaning of having almost all the planets retrograde. Thanks for the insight. However, could you please elaborate on that?? Imran, I understand that I have asked too many questions and I am sorry for that. At the same time, I would be highly highly grateful to you if you could please find time to answer these questions as they are very important to me. Guest guest
Avin, You are right; Mercury and Jupiter are not vargottam but are placed in their own signs in Namamsha. Anyhow, they are strongly connected in many vargas, viz. D1: Parivartan => Mer in Sag & Jup in Gem D3: Parivartan => Mer in Sag & Jup in Gem D4: Parivartan => Mer in Pis & Jup in Vir D5: Yuti => Both Mer & Jup in Aqu D9: Mutual Aspect => Mer in Gem & Jup in Sag D7: Opposition => Mer in Cap & Jup in Can D10: Opposition => Mer in Aqu & Jup in Leo D12: Parivartan => Mer in Pis & Jup in Vir D16: Yuti => Both Mer & Jup in Ari D20: Yuti => Both Mer & Jup in Cap D24: Yuti => Both Mer & Jup in Aqu D27: Opposition => Mer in Sco & Jup in Tau D30: Yuti => Both Mer & Jup in Aqu D60: Parivartan => Mer in Pis & Jup in Vir But you would see VRY (Jupiter) maha dasa after age of 65 ! hmm so it should say, Delhi hanuz dooor ast. Till then rely on pratyantar etc. Jatika Chanrika holds that yogas without realization of concerned planets dasha at appropriate age is useless. I guessed, October 2005 may be important (not w.r.t pratyantar Moon) but due to beneficial transit of dasanath Sun and Guru. This will be the time when Sun shall transit in Virgo and Jupiter in Libra. Both these signs contain 30 and 37 subh bindus in S.A.V respectively. On the other hand, not only Jan 2006 may become important but whole 2006 may prove better than previous years. Just relook your varshphal 2005-06. You also asked about Sun's placement. Though Sun is not functional malefic here but it resides in 12th i.e. in maran karkasthan (MKS). Hence its natural karaktattava weaken alot. Moreover he is the dispositor of Saturn. Saturn occupation (as 1st and 2nd lord) in 8th deny bodily comfort, native dont hesitate to speak lie, poor eating hobbit, but makes one learned and thoughtful. These are raw results. Regarding retrograde grahas. Out of navgraha Rahu and Ketu remain retrograde while Sun and Moon can not be. So rest of five planets orbit retro or direct motion depending upon their certain distance with Sun. Their is a beautiful illustration (Q/A) by Pt Sanjay Rath on retrograde planets (you may get the pdf file from FILE section). I am not well versed in recommending any gem or remedies etc. (I think it's risky from to prescribe remedy without proper knowledge) But Pt. Sanjay Rath or Swee Chan may help you in this regard. Please follow their valuable suggestion. Lack of peace would scarce during Saturn's sojourn in Cancer. Guest guest
Dear Dhananjayan, Initially I have limited my reply to the requirements of the quary. Now you have raised a well merited point of order, fit for further reply. The present day generation often assesses dasaa / bukthi phalam with out considering the effects / influence of Gocharam on it. Classics have advocated, considering the Gocharam while predicting the dasa / bukthi. Gocharam exercise influences on dasa / bukthi, they either enrich / diminish the phalam. Least accepted practice is to look at the Gocharam of Sani and Guru. In the present case though the dasa is good, the gocharam of Sani predominantly brought a diminishing effect on the dasa phalam since April 2001 ,on account of Sani’s positional disadvantage, vakra, Athisara etc. With regards, D.SathiyanarayanaGupta. --- Dhananjayan Brahma <abhanaya wrote: > Mr.Guptaji, > Why Gochar of Saturn and Jupiter were not taken into > cognizance? Guest guest
Hi Avin, My friend has the same planet positions as yours. Might be interesting to take a look for you. His birthday is 28 dec 75 , place: Baroda( Vadodara),Gujarat, India. Time : 09:15 a.m. He has sun-budha conjection in 12 place and in VRY also Guru in 3 place (upchaya) and Lagna is Capricorn . Do analyse this. Thanks to all, TrusharManoj Sharma <manojsharma662000 > wrote: "Another neglected concept should be borne in mindthat luminaries (Sun and Moon) and lagnesh do notbehave as functional malefic even when they own 8th or12th houses".Mohammad Bhai, I was always told that when lagneshbecomes vyesh (i.e if lagnesh falls in 12th house) itspoils all the power of horoscope. Your statementappears to be contradictory to this belief. Or perhapsI am missing something here?I have venus as lagnesh and it has fallen in 12thhouse; Not only I have always struggled with theissues related to lagnesh, but also I have to face lotof frustrations (failures) in all the issues relatedto Venus.Just in case if you want to have a look at myhoroscope, my birth details are as follows:Date of birth: June 1, 1966Time of Birth: 5.35 AMPlace of Birth: Baraut (40 kms North of Delhi)ThanksManoj--- Muhammad Imran <astroimran > wrote:> Dear Avin,> > Every dasha/antar yields two types of result; viz.> general and specific. Guest guest
Dear Chi.Avin, Generally Short term dasaas of functional benefic that commences along with Saade-saath or two and half years before the expiry of Saade-saath, may not be capable of delivering goods. However I am of the opinion that Ketu bukthi from 4.11.05 to 10.3.06 may be fruitful since it had attained good shadbala and varghabala, besides being placed on subha shastiyamsa.Gochar Guru is also helpful. Then Venus being a Navigator in Sun’s MD and also a benefic to the Capricorn Lagna, I expect moderately fair phalam during its bukthi from 10.3.06 to 5.3.07 regardless of its strength and Gochar phalam . With regards, D.SathiyanarayanaGupta. (P.S: You would be under the influence of Artha-Ashtama Sani till the end of Sani bukthi) --- avin6dl <avin6dl wrote: > Dear Sathiyanarayana, > > Thanks for the reply.
