Guest guest
Dear All, I have a question regarding the calculation of the shadbala of planets . As we all know sthana bala is one of the components of shadbala and saptavargaja bala is a furthur sub component of sthana bala. Since Saptavrgaja bala is calculated based on the planetary position in Rasi and the 6 divisionals this seems to be an area where a planet can pick lots of points related to strength. however strength is attributed in the vargas only for planetary positions in a)Own sign b) Great Friend c) Friend d)Nuetral e) Enemy f) Great Enemy My question is - What about planets that get exalted in the vargas. There seems to be no component in shadbala calculation principles ,that grants strength to a planet based on whether it is exalted or debilitated in the vargas. Now while for a planet like Sun, that gets exalted in his Friend's Rasi, it may not make much of a difference since it amasses 22.5 Shashtiamsas for being in a friend's house in the varga charts. But for a planet like Mars that gets exalted in enemy's territory , this rule seems to penalise him for being exalted in the vargas . Thus a vargottam Mars who is exalted in Rasi and 4 other divisionals including Navamsa ,can end up with a very low sthana bala value. This doesnt sound logical to me on the face of it,and i am sure there has to be some sort of an explanation which I may be missing. The corollary , that ,exaltation of planets doesnt matter in a divisional chart - contradicts other well accepted principles. Any thoughts on this is greatly appreciated thanks and Regards, Suresh _______________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
