Madame,

 

With reference to your query regarding Mars dosham in your

horoscope, I give below an extract from the book " Planets in Orbit"

the para which deals with dosham .for your perusal

(Mars Dosham) ,-

Mars has, unnecessarily, been singled out when there are Saturn,

Rahu, Ketu and the Sun to play havoc wilh the life of partner. Apart

from Mars; Saturn, Rahu, Ketu and the Sun are natural malefics and

the occupation of these planets in the 2nd,the 4th, tbe 7th, the 8th

& the 12th houses are harmful to the conjugal bliss like that of

Mars. Hence, in fact Mars dosham is created by Mars, Saturn, Rahu,

Ketu and the Sun. However, the strength of afflction due to Mars,

Saturn, Rahu, Ketu and the Sun is in descending order. Also the

strength of the dosham in 8,7, 4,12, and 2 is in descending order.

The dosham is considered weak when it exists from the Ascendant, a

little stronger from the Moon and still more powerful fom Venus.

 

AIso, the dosbam varies according to the sign-friendly, exalted,own,

inimical etc involved.

 

I casted the horoscope of yourself and that of the boy taking

the data furnished by you

 

yourself: D.O.B. 22-5-05 ; T.O.B: 2-51-18 PM ; P.O.B Madurai

 

Boy D.O.B. 29-5-05 ; T.O.B: 04-17 AM ; P.O.B Erode (

birth 28th night and 29th early morning by 4-17 AM)

 

On calculation of consolidated doshams of the planets Mars,

Saturn, Rahu, Ketu, and Sun ( from Lagna, Moon and Venus all

considered),as stated in the above para ( extract from the book) for

both horoscopes, I find that the dosham of the boy is negligible, but

yours is much more ( nearly 5 times more than the boy ) As such the

boy will be severely affected. Horoscope does not match. Note:

Doshams should be equal or nearly equal Boy's dosham can be more that

too only by 25% .In any Girl's horoscope dosham should not be higher

than the boy's.

 

One well known astrologer Sri P.S.Sastri, in one of his articles in

a magazine says that, even if cancellation of Dosham is found in the

horoscope, it is not advisable to take the risk as it is certain that

planets causing the dosham will not fail to give their evil effect.

Sir,

 

Thank you for the insights that you have provided. When you say

there is mangal dosha, there are also ways in which it gets

cancelled. I don't know if you have considered them also while

analysing... can you please provide details more clearly as to how

you are saying that the horoscopes do not match...!!!

 

It is Mars is in 2nd house from moon, 1st from Venus and 8th house

from ascendant.... from your mail the dosha is comparatively

lesser...You have also mentioned that it is more powerful when

calculated from venus....lesser when calculated from Moon and even

lesser when calculated from ascendant...

 

I have heard that if Mars is in its own house... teh dosham is

cancelled or nullified.

 

Can you please xplain on this?
